“Two Brooklyn sports agents threw one of their flunkies “under the proverbial bus” to cover their tracks in an infamous MLB doping scandal, according a $2.5 million lawsuit filed Monday in Brooklyn Supreme Court by the former employee.
Plaintiff Juan Carlos Nunez — who claims he was stiffed on commission fees — says he recruited players from the Dominican Republic for high-profile agents Sam and Seth Levinson, who were representing then San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera in 2012 when he was caught taking PEDs from disgraced Florida lab Biogenesis America.
Cabrera, also a former Yankee, falsely claimed he innocently purchased medication that caused a false positive and even showed a bogus medical website that he said he bought the drugs from.”
