What was McFadden's at Citi Field thinking?

...........This is my own opinion and has nothing to do with MetsPolice or their opinions on this issue...

I just checked out the pics from McFadden's home page. WOW!!! That is my first impression of it.

Now who in their right mind puts the pics of these drunk knuckleheads on their webpage to promote it?

I shoot pics for a bar in my neighborhood and help them with their facebook page. I take great care in making sure the bar is put in the best possible light. I make sure to avoid a lot of the drunkards that try to be funny by throwing up middle fingers, fake gang signs, making stupid faces, or looking totally obliterated.

What kind of crowd are you trying to draw?

Seeing this I would not want to patronize McFadden's. It just baffles me.

A lot of the pics do show just patrons having a good time. But there are quite a few that as soon as you got onto the page are just like A) What is the photographer thinking taking this pic? B) Who posted the pics on the site for them? C) No one does a double check to see what is going up on the site?

Shannon and I met up there last week before the Wednesday night game to check it out. It wasn't a bad crowd.

Everyone seemed pretty chilled and relaxed when we were there. It could have gotten rowdier as the night went on but it just seemed like the fans were there just to have a beer before the game, meet some friends, and head in to the game.

If I had seen those pics before we went there, I might have thought twice about it.

Shannon is always saying the Mets should hire him to be their connection to the fans and what we want, I say McFadden's should hire me to help put the best multimedia foot forward for the bar.

Do I believe in a good time at the bar, yes. Do not get me wrong. This bar has great potential but they need to get those pics off their site. I refuse to link to it, but if you want you can easily go there.

RIP-Corey Haim

People saw this coming for a long time. Corey Haim dead allegedly due to drug overdose. I do not have the details so I am just going to shoot some thoughts out that I have. I can not believe that one of the guys that were the "it guys" in my pre teen/teen age years is gone. Does it shock me that he died of unnatural causes. NO. But when I was a kid i wouldn't have thought either of the Coreys would be dead in their 30's. It is just weird to me. The 13 year old goon in me is trying to sort this out.

Heavy Rain...WOW

Video game consoles have come a loooong way from PONG. I can not believe the PS3 is able to have a game like this on it. Basically a rated R game in the same vein as the movie Se7en. Nudity, murder, a serial killer, and an FBI profiler out of the movie THE MINORITY REPORT...I don't want to give away too much but wow...

Boner is dead.

Andrew Koenig, who had a recurring role on the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains" was found dead in a park in Vancouver. Allegedly he took his own life. Anytime you hear someone dying or taking their own life is a sad moment.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating actor Andrew Koenig, who had a recurring role on the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains."Vancouver police say Koenig was visiting friends in West Vancouver when he went missing. He was last seen on Feb. 14.

A statement released by the police department says Koenig "has recently been despondent and his family and friends are concerned for his well-being."

Smallville:Warrior Angel

Ok, so this is the second time this fiction character of a fictional Smallville universe has appeared. The first time was when they were making the live action movie of Warrior Angel on the Kent farm. Clark ended up with the Warrior Angels red cape. Now I am five minutes into Smallville and Warrior Angel is taking elements from Captain Marvel's origin. Granted it has nothing to do with Shazam but it runs really close to it with a kid becoming an adult superhero. Thats all I want to mention about this episode.

Deadliest Catch's Captain Phil Harris Dead..

Captain Phill Harris dead at 53. One of the main reasons I watched Deadliest Catch was because of this man. He was tough but you could see his soft side with his two sons who worked for him on his boat.

Am I the Only One That Hasn't Seen Avatar?

I think I might be the other person in the U.S. that hasn't seen Avatar. Is it wrong that I have absolutely no reason why I want to see it? Am I crazy? Am I missing the boat? What is wrong with me?

Artie Langer "Hurt"

I was browsing youtube and I happened to come across this video. It is Johnny Cash's version of NIN's Hurt. The music is set to Howard Stern in Demand video of one of my favorite comedians. Artie Lange. I am not going to try to analyze or try to guess what was going on in Artie's mind when he tried to hurt himself and neither should anyone else.

This sounds very Star Trek the Motion Picture Like to Me

KHAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN!!!! Well Michael Khan......

Mystery Object That Buzzed The Earth Could Be Human-Made, Says Scientist
Early this morning, an object that was most likely a small asteroid zoomed past Earth, narrowly missing a collision course. Now a European astronomer says it's possible that this object could be part of the ESA's Venus probe.

Though the object has already zoomed by, there is still no absolute proof that it's an asteroid. The ESA's Michael Khan writes:

Probably 2010 AL30 is of natural origin. However, the possibility that it is man-made cannot be completely excluded. If so, it might be the upper stage of a rocket used in an earlier planetary mission, possible to Venus. The current orbit would have been acquired through a Venus swingby and other orbital perturbations.

While Khan emphasizes that he's speculating, it's worth checking out his extremely detailed discussion of orbital trajectories. He makes a pretty good case for this object being one of the rocket stages used in the Venus Express launch. If Khan is right, that would mean humans could be engineering their own disaster from space.

Spidey 4= Reboot?

To tell you the truth i think its a pretty good thing that they are rebooting the series. Now, hear me out. Sam Raimi did a pretty good job with Spideys one and two. Spidey three? Yeeeeeesshhh. I really have to say that was a horrible horrible movie. The problems I had with that franchise is that the first movie moved too fast. Where was Gwen Stacy in the first movie? Green Goblin kills her and is one of the reason Peter Parker is so devoted to saving people. Sure he has his Uncle Ben's death on his hands but Gwen was the first love of his life. Think about it. Remember how hard it was to lose your first love when you guys just broke up? Imagine losing her to murder. Murdered by the hands of your best friend's father. That in the comic continuity helped to shape Peter's commitment to not just the people of NYC but also how it made him overly concerned with the well being of his family and friends. If having the loss of Uncle Ben made him so worried about Aunt May all the time, wouldn't that make sense to show the paralell between Gwen and MJ? When Peter lost Gwen just think what he would do to protect MJ at all costs. You would know he would give his life up for her. I think that would make for a more powerful future for the franchise.
Now, another problem I had with the movies is Spidey was way to quiet. What happened to his quips that helped keep from showing he wasn't afraid(even though he was) in dire situations? Was it the writing? Tobey Macguire being a good actor but not having comic timing? We know Sam Raimi can direct funny wiseass movies..
Heres the perfect source material ...The Spectacular Spiderman cartoon....
Nuff said...

Syndication: Everybody Hates Chris

I am really bored right now. Nothing on tv but a show I rarely watched on the CW. That show is Everyone Hates Chris. Nobody and I mean nobody talked about the series finale. It spoofed the last scene from the Sopranos. It was basically shot for shot. I could not believe they did that to end the show. The only real difference was they played Bon Jovi instead of Journey....WOW.

TNA came out quick and hard firing the first shot over the bow of WWE's flagship show Raw. The show did stutter a lil bit at times but its understandable with all the jitters of a first time battle. TNA, by stealing Jeff Hardy, one of the most OVER with the fans Superstars that the WWE it showed us all its ready to be competition. Vince McMahon was making a ton of money off of THE ENIGMA and just recently released a DVD of Jeff's rise in the WWE. It was even playing in the angle between his brother Matt and CM PUNK. So now they have one of the WWE's biggest "young" stars. Not just the older over 40 talent they brought in with Hogan...more thoughts on this later..

Take that Law & Order!

The crime drama may be the longest-running prime-time drama, but The Simpsons have the title of longest-running scripted nighttime series.

Couldn't come up with a shorter title, Morgan?

Will U be tuning in???
