I bought A Pete Alonso signed relic jersey card at Citi Field.

I picked this up last night at Citi Field. The Trading card business is crazy right now and since this is something that was just made for sale by the Mets, I couldn’t resist buying it. You can buy them on the Amazin’ Memorabilia site or at the kiosk at Citi Field.

These Topps Cards were signed by Mets first baseman Pete Alonso. The cards feature a piece of a game used white pinstripe jersey that Alonso wore on September 25, 2019 when he hit his 51st HR of his historic Rookie of the Year Campaign. The piece of jersey featured in this photo might vary from the card received. Each card comes with a one-touch magnetic card case. Do not miss the opportunity to own this unique piece of Mets memorabilia. The New York Mets donate net proceeds from the sale of Amazin' Memorabilia items to the Amazin' Mets Foundation to support the organization's mission of providing needed services and opportunities to children, families, and under-served groups in our neighborhoods and communities. For more information about the Amazin' Mets Foundation and/or Amazin' Memorabilia, please visit mets.com/gameused. For more information about the Mets Foundation and/or Amazin' Memorabilia, please visit mets.com/gameused. The availability of items varies, but for questions about this piece or different numbers, players, colors, or sizes please contact Amazin' Memorabilia, The Official Source for New York Mets Game Used and Autographed Memorabilia, by emailing gameused@nymets.com or by calling 718-559-3144. An MLB Authentication Program tamperproof hologram is affixed to each piece of Amazin' Memorabilia. The New York Mets do not provide certificates of authenticity for items. Printed documentation verifying the authenticity of your item can be obtained by visiting mlb.com/authentication.

@MatthewCerrone is going to be talking about memories of creating and running Metsblog.

My buddy Matt Cerrone is considered the Godfather of Mets Bloggers from when he created Metsblog. If it wasn't for Matt there wouldn't have been a Metspolice.com or themediagoon.com. Matt was the guy who helped get the Mets to recognize bloggers and he has been a big ally with the Queens Baseball Convention. I've always been curious about when/if Matt would recount his career in the Mets blogosphere. I am very interested in this and can't wait to see what he does and say. Hopefully I can get him on The Media Goon Show to talk about what the new project is going to entail.

@Mets I have a question about an email I received today.

Folks have been asking me for months if the NY Excelsior Pass is accepted at Citi Field. I said as far as I know it hasn't officially been announced that they have. I would say no as of now just to be safe. I got the Safe at Citi email today and it says this about showing proof to sit in vaccinated sections.

"Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider electronic health record or state Immunization Information System record."

Now does this mean that the Excelsior Pass is this State electronic record? Fans want to know.

@ericdalessandro is my spirit comedian with this song

Dude this is the best. My wife being from Staten Island doesn't want to miss a party if she isn't working and I have to say he sums it up 100 percent how I feel.

Mickey Callaway placed on MLB's ineligible list.

From MLB Trade Rumors.

Manfred issued a statement on the matter, saying: “My office has completed its investigation into allegations of sexual harassment by Mickey Callaway.  Having reviewed all of the available evidence, I have concluded that Mr. Callaway violated MLB’s policies, and that placement on the Ineligible List is warranted.  We want to thank the many people who cooperated with our Department of Investigations (DOI) in their work, which spanned Mr. Callaway’s positions with three different Clubs.  The Clubs that employed Mr. Callaway each fully cooperated with DOI, including providing emails and assisting with identifying key witnesses.  Harassment has no place within Major League Baseball, and we are committed to providing an appropriate work environment for all those involved in our game.”

Did Twitter stop New Era from releasing their "Local Market" hats.

Twitter was used for good today it seems. Metspolice and I have been killing New Era for years with some of their designs over the years. After the designs were released today it looks like after getting destroyed on twitter New Era isn't so proud of their designs and aren't releasing them.

 From Yahoo Sports

May 25 may go down as a special day on MLB Twitter. It was the day that the group successfully clowned a product line to death.

The ill-fated product line in question was the "Local Market" collection from New Era, the official cap supplier of MLB. The company has created quite a number of caps over the years — some good, some not so good — but it was hard to remember any of them immediately sparking such a measure of mockery, indignation and bafflement.

Simply put, the caps were a mess. They were such a mess that it was hard to imagine any New Era employee thinking they weren't a mess; the mess felt like the intended feature of the group of 30 hats.

The overarching theme was basically area codes and clip art. Most (but not all!) caps featured anywhere between one and nine telephone area codes on the front, with some perplexing omissions (the Tampa Bay Rays hat didn't feature the area code of their actual stadium).

Why make this NY METS CAP?

Description
Add a breezy New York Mets finish to any sunny day look with this 2013 All-Star Game Oceanside 59FIFTY fitted hat. The eye-catching underbill contrasts the cool monochromatic finish of this New Era hat. Whether enjoying a warm summer day or a fun night out, add a touch of fandom to any outfit with this New York Mets cap.

I don't get the point of this cap. None at all.
