X-CON at Xavier High School 5/12/18

  •  5/12/18 from 12 PM - 5 PM

    Xavier High School
    30 W 16th St, Manhattan, New York 10011

X-Con is a small comic book-centered event that takes place in the gym of Xavier High School. The goal is to celebrate New York City’s comic book culture and raise funds for CFX (Companions of Francis Xavier), a series of service trips wherein students travel around the country to bring aid to those in need. We’ve assembled a group of New York-based artists to comprise our Artist Alley, as well as local comic book vendors to sell some merch. In addition, we feature artist tutorials and trivia with prizes!

In addition to a $5 admission fee for the public, we ask our artists and vendors to donate $5 (per table) for table rental as well. These, along with concessions sold at the event, make up the majority of our proceeds for CFX. Some artists have offered to donate an original sketch to be raffled off to help give our fundraising a shot in the arm. All support is appreciated and goes a long way to enabling our students to do the good work they do on these service trips!

If you’re interested in being part of our event, please contact Renzo at or Steve at ! Rent a table (or three) and sell some stuff! If you can’t attend, consider donating a sketch! Or let us know if you have an idea for a panel or if you’d like to do an artist tutorial... or anything else that will help make X-con bigger and better! Please share this event and spread the word!
