I keep having this crazy idea about putting a four team mini softball tourney together every year for charity. Now, I don't want to do it with four teams that come in that are a "team" since the start. I want to be able to have four teams with about thirteen players on them each.
I was thinking of choosing four team captains. These four captains will draft players who donate money to get onto the teams. Would probably cap the amount of participants at a certain amount just so we can have an alternate pool standing by if anyone find out that they can not make the day of the game.
I was looking to try to have it somewhere like MCU ballpark. I want to find a baseball/softball related charity to keep the game growing. I want us all to have fun while raising money for a good cause. If we have folks who want to come to watch us play we charge a couple a bucks entry to go to charity.
Maybe do some sort of raffles or something...
I'm just spitballing here folks....Anyone??
