Some of the stuff he is doing these days are just baffling. His in game managing has always been suspect, his line ups have been off("oh, you have the hot bat? You need to sit because player X needs at bats"), and now last play of the game he didn't even challenge the ump's call.
It's the last out. Why the hell not challenge it any way? Even if the call goes against you, you lose nothing. Call goes for you, tie game.
The best is is answer to why didn't you challenge, " I didn't think of it".
This is becoming futile.
