My friend Kristina was posting about this kid's book the other day, WE'LL CALL YOU MR. MET. It's pretty fun to see the story that they came up with for Mr. Met. Gramps Mr. Met is in it as well as Lady Met(so we are sure she and Mrs. Met are two different baseball headed people), Mrs. Met and the Met kids. It gives the lineage of the Mets and Mr. Met from the time of the Dodgers and Giants still playing in NYC.
They also mention a certain HOF catcher but not by name. Two takeaways. Mr. Met 1.5 is still not mentioned and I think Mrs. Met might be related to Mr red Legs....

Hey Keith — I somehow JUST came across your post about my book from a few years back…. Very belated thanks for the mention and I’d love to send you a copy. Was a fun book to put together (was my idea/story + got some help from the Mets as we got close to publication)…would love to tell you more. But FYI, Mr. Met 1.5 was a very loose inspiration for the black jersey version in my book (I was running out of pages but had to reference it).
