@Mets: No more moves because McNeil needs playing time? Really?

“Let’s be candid: The outfield is probably not our top priority at this point.”
Pertaining to the possibility of Machado, the GM added: “I think from a fit standpoint, both in the outfield and infield, I think we’re in a pretty good position.”
Van Wagenen cited the need to find playing time for Jeff McNeil as a reason the Mets do not consider the outfield a priority. McNeil may receive the majority of his at-bats as an outfielder, following the additions of Lowrie and Robinson Cano this offseason, with rookie Peter Alonso in the mix for a potential starting job. Todd Frazier and Amed Rosario are also returning to the infield.

Let me get this right. You aren't going to try to shore up the team in any other way because McNeil needs playing time? Maybe you shouldn't have traded for Cano or sign Lowrie to take away from McNeil's playing time.  I am hoping that this is just because the Brodie has more moves coming and is being super coy...
