Capacity to Increase to 33,875 Fans Starting June 11

 

FLUSHING, N.Y., June 3, 2021 – The New York Mets today announced tickets for the remainder of the team’s home schedule will go on sale this Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at Mets.com/Tickets. Starting with the Mets’ upcoming homestand, Citi Field’s capacity will increase to 33,875 (approximately 78 percent capacity) in accordance with New York State Department of Health mandates with 90 percent of those seats in fully vaccinated sections.

 

The Mets return home for a weekend series against the San Diego Padres Friday, June 11-Sunday, June 13. The homestand continues with a four-game set vs. the Chicago Cubs Monday, June 14-Thursday, June 17. The following homestand includes doubleheaders Monday, June 21 against the Atlanta Braves and Friday, June 25 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

  • Fireworks Night Friday, July 23
  • Mets Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Saturday, July 31: Edgardo Alfonzo, Ron Darling and Jon Matlack will be inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame before the Mets host the Reds at 7:10 p.m. Al Jackson will be posthumously honored with the Mets Hall of Fame Achievement Award for contributions to the organization.
  • Jerry Koosman #36 Retirement Ceremony Saturday, August 28: The Mets will honor Jerry Koosman, the winningest left-handed pitcher in club history, in a pregame uniform number retirement ceremony prior to the Mets playing the Washington Nationals.

The Mets are excited to announce some new additions to Citi Field’s All-Star culinary lineup this season:

  • Patsy’s Pizzeria, a NYC pizza dynasty since 1933
  • Tipsy Scoop, blending the magic of hand-crafted ice cream with the mastery of a perfectly mixed cocktail
  • Two new Citi Field-exclusive concepts in partnership with Aramark – From the Stretch, a new twist on grilled cheese, and Vegan City
  • Citi Field will also reopen some fan favorites: Blue Smoke, El Verano Taqueria, Sweet Chick and more

 

With anticipated increases in attendance, the Mets encourage fans to take mass transit and arrive early to enter the ballpark and use either Health Pass on the CLEAR app or Excelsior Pass for easy vaccination identification.
