The resiliency our team has demonstrated this year is inspiring and has been incredible to watch. I greatly appreciate the support of my teammates and our fans throughout my injury and rehabilitation and am committed to giving them my support in return.”

Additionally, lefthanded pitcher Anthony Kay, who was selected with the 31st overall pick of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, underwent Tommy John surgery today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
