@QBConvention: Virtual Queens Baseball Convention 2021 AKA Virtual QBC 2021 Press Release

Organizers of the Queens Baseball Convention announced that they will be hosting a fully virtualexperiencetotakeplaceonSaturday,February6 .

Keith Blacknick and Dan Twohig, co-founders and partners in the 8-year old fan-fest, also announced that the event would be broadcast for free on the QBC YouTube channel, citing the pandemic and wanting to give back to the fanbase that has supported the event since 2014.

Former Met Joe McEwing will headline the event, participating in a live panel discussion and will be taking questions from fans.

Also announced was that in partnership with SNY, the TV home of the New York Mets, Doug Williams, Andy Martino, Sal Licata, and Jim Duquette will host a live version of Baseball Night in New York. This will be the third consecutive QBC that SNY has hosted a live panel.

Panels on the State of the Mets, the pros and cons of black jerseys, and Mets artists will also take place.

Founded in 2013, the Queens Baseball Convention was created as a mid-winter gathering of fans of the New York Mets
. Our design is a combination of “Fan Fest” meets “Comic Con.” Since its start it has grown into the largest fan-run fan fest in the New York area.
