Last year many of us, including myself bought into the Mickey Calloway experience. We thought he was going to be a fresh voice that would help the pitching staff get to the next level, which would mean more wins for the team, which would mean more playoff games. Alas, the experiment should be over. Mickey the poor guy is in over his head and it doesn't seem like adding Riggleman to the bench has helped. I don't like seeing anyone lose their jobs, but it is time for Mickey to go. Maybe the Mets can right this ship but Mickey is definitely not the guy that should be at the helm any longer. If I were the Mets, I hear they have a pretty good manager in Triple A that would do a good job with a lot of the players that are up in the big club right now.
