NYCC 2017: Castle Rock Panel

Right now I have no insights on the Mets, kind of burned out from posting so much over the season on them and this weekend I went to NYCC or NY Comic Con. I am a huge fan of comics, TV shows, movies, and I also like to go to the Cons to research The QBC (Queens Baseball Convention). I decided to write this post as just doing something different for a change and to keep content fresh and not me just going through eBay and other sites to see what they have on there just to have content.

The sizzle reel that they did for Castle Rock was pretty cool. It got me interested in the possibilities with this show quickly. You see the easter eggs all over the trailer and it's fun trying to see what you can find. Another cool thing is that a lot of the cast for Castle Rock have been in other Stephen King adapted works. Sissy Spacek(Carrie), Bill Skarsgard (IT), Melanie Lynskey (Rose Red) have all done their time in the King Universe.

Here's what it's about-

From Hulu:

A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock. Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

Now the actual panel itself was boring. The moderator ask 15 paragraph questions to which you could see the the panelists eyes glaze over halfway through the question. The audience questions were pretty good and the cast seemed to enjoy them. Which is great...

All I know is if I was just going into this panel without seeing the sizzle reel, I don't think I would have cared about wanting to see this show, but I do....
