The Tom Seaver statue was something my cousin Shannon over at Metspolice and I were stomping about years. We kept saying that Seaver deserved it and that the Mets should have erected it while The Franchise was alive so he could see the appreciation the Mets fans had/have for him. It took a while after he passed away for the statue to come to fruition but it did. It is gorgeous and I am glad the Mets have this link to their history and the acknowledgment of what Tom Seaver meant to the fans and to the Mets organization.
