No. Not the Player. But the human. It is easy to forget that players are just human and can be hurt. It is easy to forget these same players can break down. It is easy to forget that these players aren't just stats in fantasy and video games. They are living, breathing people who can break down and be hurt.
I hope David Wright's surgery helps him have a normal life. I honestly would love for him to be able to come back and get a few more years of playing time at third. But, I really hope that he can just enjoy the rest of his life. I don't want him to be hobbled and not be able to enjoy everyday activities. Back pain has to be one of the most annoying pain there can be. It can even hurt when you just breather let alone do any kind of physical activity. Get well soon.
