All ages are welcome to join our drive-in movie screening. Please note, this event is rain or shine and will broadcast on our large exterior LED wall facing Hempstead turnpike. 

We have proudly partnered with Hofstra University radio for the sound broadcast and tune in information will be provided before and during the film screening. 

Food & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from local food trucks. Outside food is permitted as well. For any alcoholic beverages brought in from outside, as always, we encourage non driver guests to drink responsibly and driver guests to never drink and drive. 

The safety and wellness of our guests and staff are our top priority, please below information for our safety protocols:

• Driver must be wearing a face covering while checking in at the gate.
• All guests must be wearing a face covering when they are outside of their vehicles.
• Parking spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis with the directional assistance of our parking staff.
• All vehicles will be spaced 6 feet apart minimum by the direction of our parking staff.
• Guests are not permitted to watch the movie in a tailgating style. (Tents and lawn chairs are not permitted.) However, guests are permitted to seat in their beds or lift gate if they have an SUV, as long as they remain in their vehicle.
• Guests are to stay within their vehicle unless using the restroom or ordering food from a food truck. 
• Guests are not permitted to idle during the showing. 
• We will have additional sanitizing stations placed near portable restrooms and food trucks. 
• To keep our guests safe all staff in our lots will have a face covering.
• No pets are allowed.

Tickets are now available to purchase at $30. All advance tickets will be mobile-only. Each ticket permits one car.

Pending availability, tickets will be sold at the gate via credit/debit card only for $35.
No cash will be accepted at the gate.

Why do Mets fans make this post about the Mets and not about what matters?

I try not to get political on this blog. I don't feel that this is the platform to do so. When there are certain things going on, I try just to present facts  I let people decide what they want to do with those facts. Right now with what is going on in the world and then add what has been going on in the last two weeks in the country it is ridiculous. We should be better people at this point. If you are going to ask me who do I support, I am going to tell you that I support the protestors out there trying to make a difference with inequality and brutality that is here. I support the hard working cops who do the right thing and protect us from danger and crime. You can support both.

That being said, I can not support the folks making the Mets post about what is going on in our city, our state, and our country about the Wilpons and selling the team.

I don't know why folks think this was the post on FB to make these comments on. Find a different post for this. If you want to criticize the original post for any reason, that's great. I just don't get what you guys think that you are going to accomplish here with that.

I was there with my buddy Randy and his wife. It was one of those things that you never expect to see in persona and I was glad I was there.
I have been to some big moments in Mets history and I still can't believe the stuff that I have seen.

MLBPA Startup counter offer to the MLB Owners.

114 games instead of 82 to make sure the players get more money. Fine. Regular season going all the way to Halloween. East coast and Central teams are going to freeze unless the playoffs get moved to warm weather climates or inside ballparks with roofs. Anything else, I really don't care about. I miss baseball and the las of baseball does make it hard to keep writing posts on here. But otherwise I can go either way if it starts back up or not.

In a counterproposal to the offer it received from MLB last Tuesday, the PA suggested a list of ideas featuring a 114-game regular season that would begin on June 30 and conclude on Oct. 31, a tier of salaries that could be deferred if there is no postseason and the right of any player to opt out of this potentially perilous season, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.

On the surface, the proffer doesn’t appear to move the needle much. The owners have expressed a desire for far more cost containment given the chance that the entire schedule will be played without paying fans, and they don’t want to hold the postseason in November due to concerns that 1) a second wave of COVID-19 will arrive in the cooler weather; and 2) television networks would greatly prefer to air the playoffs in October. But at least this gives the two sides something to discuss.

Last Tuesday, MLB offered a sliding-scale concept by which the highest-paid players would suffer the greatest cuts to their income. The PA didn’t like that idea at all and responded with this package.

The 114-game regular season marks a significant increase from the owners’ desire to play 82 games. It would of course enable the players to make more of their salaries, which they already have agreed to accept on a prorated basis and don’t want to lower again despite language allowing for such a discussion in the two sides’ late-March agreement. 

As for players who want no part of this season, those who qualify as “high-risk” or who live with such a person, presumably someone with underlying conditions, would receive their full salary, whereas those who don’t fit that description yet still don’t want to play would give up their pay while accruing a year of service time.
