I know a lot of you are going to come after me about this post but if the Mets aren’t in it to win this year as a lot of pundits think, why not trade Alonso near the trade deadline if he is going to look at free agency anyway? This way you build up the team and if you want you can sign him after the season. Maybe I’m just crazy, who know?
