METS AT HOME: New York is 7-2 to open its season-long 11-game homestand...The Mets are 26-18 at home overall in 2016 and 11-5 in their last 16 home contests.



METS HOMERS: With one home run today, the Mets have 120 home runs this season in 86 games...New York has hit 43 home runs its last 29 games and homered in 10 straight games (24 total homers in that 10-game span)...It's their second-longest such streak of the season...New York hit a homer in 11 consecutive games from May 20-May 31...The Mets are 42-17 when hitting at least one home run.

YOENIS CÉSPEDES: Left tonight's game with a strained right quad.



NOAH SYNDERGAARD: Worked 4.2 innings and allowed three runs, earned, on four hits...Struck out five and walked three...Left tonight's game with arm fatigue, which was not elbow-related...Walked Anthony Rendon in the second inning for his first walk at home since walking Brandon Belt in the sixth inning on May 1 vs. San Francisco, a span of 39.2 innings.



SETH LUGO: Made his second appearance in the major leagues tonight and tossed 2.0 scoreless, hitless innings...Walked two and struck out one...In his two career appearances, Lugo has not allowed a run in 4.0 innings of work.



STEPHEN STRASBURG: Worked 7.0 innings and allowed one run, earned, on two hits to earn his 12th win of the season...Struck out nine and walked three... With tonight's win, Strasburg improved to 12-0 on the season, becoming the first National League pitcher to open a season 12-0 since Rube Marquard opened the 1912 season 18-0 for the New York Giants..Research courtesy of Elias...Allowed his first hit of tonight's game with a solo home run to Asdrubal Cabrera to lead off the fifth inning...Was the first hit he'd allowed in 10.2 innings since returning from the Disabled List on Sunday.



STRASBURG WIN STREAK: Extended his personal winning streak to 15 games dating to September 15, 2015 with his win tonight, extending a Nationals/Expos franchise-record...It is now tied for the second-longest winning streak by a starting pitcher in DC-baseball history with RHP General Crowder, who had a 15-game personal win streak from August 2, 1932-April 12, 1933.



STRASBURG VS. THE METS: Improved to 7-3 with a 2.53 ERA (21 earned runs/74.2 innings) in 12 games started vs. the Mets in his career...Is 3-0 vs. New York this season with a 1.83 ERA (four earned runs/19.2 innings) in three starts.



JONATHAN PAPELBON: Recorded his 18th save of the season and the 367th of his career...That total is tied for ninth-most on the all-time saves list with Jeff Reardon....Papelbon has now converted 25 of his 29 save opportunities since joining the Nationals on July 29, 2015.



DANIEL MURPHY: Drove in his 60th run of the season with an RBI double in the third inning...Has now hit safely in all 11 games he's played versus the Mets this season...Is batting .409 (18-44) with two doubles, five home runs and 15 RBI.



CLINT ROBINSON: Hit a two-run homer in the second inning for his fifth home run of the season and his second in as many days...Is the third time in his career that Robinson has homered in consecutive games and the first time since October 1 and October 3, 2015...Four of his five home runs this season have come away from Nationals Park.
