The best day of the offseason is back once again for Mets fans, as the Queens Baseball Convention returns on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Four Points by Sheraton, located at 33-68 Farrington Street in Flushing (near Main Street) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Started by Mets fans Keith Blacknick (TheMediagoon.com) and Dan Twohig (MetsPolice.com) in 2013, the QBC is a Mets Fans Fest, created by the fans for the fans!

Headlining the event will be Mets 3B Brett Baty, who had a breakout season for the Mets in 2025. After struggling through April, Baty was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse. However, he was recalled less than two weeks later, and following his return to the majors, Baty posted a .263 batting average with 17 home runs and 46 RBI over his final 111 games. He finished the season with 18 home runs and 50 RBI.

I will be hosting “The State of the Mets” panel once again this year. I haven’t yet finalized this year’s participants, and will make a separate announcement as we get closer to the big day.

Unlike in past years, this year’s QBC will take place after the 2025 MLB Winter Meetings, which will take place from December 7-11 in Orlando, Florida. That could (and hopefully will) provide some excellent talking points for The State of the Mets, as well as the other panels.

An Interesting note, the Brett Baty Panel will be hosted by Kelley Franco, the host of the “Three Inning Fan” podcast, who made her QBC debut last year as a panelist on the State of the Mets panel.

This year also features appearances by 1986 World Series Champion Jesse Orosco. The Terry Collins Show will be attending to do a live version of their show with Terry and Tom Hallion (retired MLB Umpire from the infamous “jackpot clip”), and they will also be doing a signing.

SNY, which has been the QBC’s presenting sponsor for almost as long as the QBC has been around, is bringing in its On-Air Talent to do an in-person version of one of its shows from the network.

There will also be another edition of the “Mets Make a Deal” game show with Dennis Holden.

Food, drinks, and all kinds of baseball memorabilia vendors will also be on hand.

For tickets (which are selling quickly) and all other information, visit queensbaseballconvention.com.

See you at the QBC!
