METS ANNOUNCE 2026 SCHEDULE 

 

FLUSHING, N.Y., August 26, 2025 – The New York Mets today announced that the team will open the 2026 regular season at Citi Field on Thursday, March 26 vs. Pittsburgh. The team’s first homestand will continue Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 vs. Pittsburgh before a seven-game road trip in St. Louis and San Francisco from March 30 – April 5. 

 

The Mets will host the Yankees at Citi Field for a three-game series Friday, May 15 – Sunday, May 17. The Amazins’ will travel to The Bronx for a three-game set against the Yankees, Friday, September 11 – Sunday, September 13. 

 

Additional highlights of the 2026 home schedule include: 

 

·       Cincinnati Reds: Memorial Day – Monday, May 25 – Wednesday, May 27 

·       Atlanta Braves: Friday, June 12 – Sunday, June 14

Queens Baseball Convention 2025 Date and Location

Hey everyone! I know we usually announce this way earlier but the QBC aka the Queens Baseball Convention is back, jack. It is going to be on Saturday December 13 2025 at what has been our home for the last few years, Four Points Flushing.

Other exciting news is we have a working relationship with Dom over at Coach’s Collectibles to help bring in some exciting players to do panels and signings this year. We are also looking to bring back our vendors from last year and some new ones also.

John Saponaro is returning as the Host with the most. Mark Healey is returning with State of the Mets. I think we are bringing back Mets Make a Deal with Dennis Holden. That was a fun one last year! We will be adding more panels and and announce two of our sponsors soon.

Tickets will go on sale in September and more info will be coming out soon.

NYC Casino Proposal: First public hearing on Resorts World’s casino gaming license bid draws community support

 Resorts World’s $5.5 billion proposal aims to expand the casino’s existing 73-acre space into a global entertainment destination. Plans include creating a 350,000-square-foot meeting, conference, and entertainment space, a 7,000-seat multi-use arena, a gaming floor approximately 500,000 square feet, and approximately 30 new food and beverage options.  Upon completion, the gaming floor would be the largest in the U.S. with 6,000 slots and electronic table games and 800 live table games. Additionally, the campus would expand its hotel capacity to 2,000 rooms and hold a STEM innovation center. 

The leaders of these institutions highlighted that Resorts World has had a long-standing history of philanthropic efforts in supporting various Queens nonprofits and institutions. To date, RWNYC  has invested $1.1 billion in physical investments at the Aqueduct site, given over 4.4 billion to the NYS Education Fund, and nearly $10 million to community initiatives through RW Gives. 

“While many stakeholders are here to speak about how Resort’s World’s proposal would bring good paying jobs and beautiful new amenities, to Queens I want to focus on something equally important and that is Resort’s World’s proven track record as a partner to our borough’s nonprofit and cultural community,” said Ellen Kodadek, executive and artistic director of Flushing Town Hall. “Resorts World NYC  has helped us expand our reach by promoting our programs to their guests, providing direct financial support to Flushing Town Hall, enabling us to serve our families and artists with world-class cultural programming, and they’ve backed important borough-wide initiatives like Queens Rising.”
