REV ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES PURCHASE OF LONG ISLAND DUCKS
LIDUCKS.COM
(Central Islip, N.Y., Jan. 28, 2026) – REV Entertainment, the official sports and entertainment company of the Texas Rangers, today announced the purchase of the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The acquisition of the winningest franchise in Atlantic League history — and a four-time league champion (2004, 2012, 2013, 2019) — marks a significant expansion of REV’s growing team ownership portfolio.
With the addition of the Ducks, REV Entertainment now owns and operates teams across the country’s top MLB Partner Leagues, including the American Association of Professional Baseball (Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars —the 2024 & 2025 League Champions), the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (Long Island Ducks), and the Frontier League (Schaumburg Boomers).
“We’re proud to welcome the Long Island Ducks into the REV family,” said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment. “Frank Boulton has built something truly special on Long Island. Our responsibility is to honor that legacy, build upon the foundation he established, and continue delivering an affordable, family-friendly experience while positioning the Ducks for long-term success.”
The Long Island Ducks have competed in the Atlantic League since 2000 and play their home games at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip, NY. The Ducks are the all-time leader in wins and attendance in Atlantic League history, have led all MLB Partner Leagues in total attendance for five consecutive seasons, and have sold out a record 721 games all-time.
The transition in ownership concludes the highly successful tenure of founding owner Frank Boulton, who will continue in an advisory role with REV Entertainment. In addition to founding the Ducks, Boulton also founded the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and served as its chairman from the league’s inaugural season through January 2026, when he transitioned to Member-at-Large. Over its 27-year history, the Atlantic League has sent more than 1,450 players to MLB organizations and has drawn over 49 million fans to its 10 state-of-the-art ballparks stretching from New York to North Carolina.
“I have always viewed my ownership of the Long Island Ducks as a public trust, and any successor had to be in lockstep with that belief,” said Boulton. “REV Entertainment has that commitment and is the right organization to guide the Ducks into the future and keep QuackerJack dancing on the dugout tops for many years to come. I am grateful to the fans, friends, sponsors and entire Long Island community for their support for 25 incredible seasons of Ducks baseball and am confident it will only get better as we enter the next 25!”
The Ducks’ front office will continue to be led by Michael Pfaff, President & Chief Business Officer. REV Entertainment’s Sports Management division will oversee all business operations moving forward, with a focus on preserving the club’s unique identity, deepening community relationships, and creating new opportunities for growth and innovation.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
“This is an exciting time. While we have experienced unprecedented success in our first 25 years, we honor the past by safeguarding its legacy for generations to come. In that spirit, I look forward to working with REV on continuing to provide Long Island with the cleanest, safest, most fan friendly and affordable way for people to spend their discretionary dollar.”
– Michael Pfaff, President & Chief Business Officer of the Long Island Ducks
“The Long Island Ducks have been a cornerstone franchise of the Atlantic League since their inception in 2000. They have served as a shining example of strong leadership and outstanding performance throughout their history. REV Entertainment is uniquely suited to maintain that combination of stewardship and success with their purchase of the Ducks. I am excited for the future of the Atlantic League and to see the impact that REV Entertainment brings to the Ducks with their tremendous experience and passion for the game.”
– Rick White, President of the Atlantic League

Some Mets Fans are just miserable folks
Now I am not known as Mr. Sunshine myself but some of these so called fans are nothing but whiners. The whole off season complaining about the moves Stearns was making and that Cohen was letting him cut costs and that they were done with this team, blah blah blah. How many of them are still on the I hate “Harvard Boy” and fire him? I want to see the same people who said that they weren’t going to attend a game this season or gave up their season tickets stay committed to those claims.
The team needed to be overhauled and this is just what Stearns did. He made the team better. Even after the trades and signings from the last few days folks were still complaining about how bad this team was going to be and oh he still hasn’t signed a starting pitcher. Again Blah Blah Blah. Now folks are complaining that he gave up too much to get Peralta and Myers. Hate to break it to you guys. This isn’t MLB the Show and you can’t force trades to happen with the computer just because you think the created player by the PS5 in the minors can be traded for star players. Enough with the complaining already. You have to give up players to get players. Why isn’t anything ever good enough for you?
I think this really has to do with Sports Talk Radio and how fans have been conditioned by it over the years to think they are GMs and the hosts that have fake outrage that fans think they should have also. Now content creators do the same thing. It’s ridiculous.
If you are fans don’t start whining and complaining until you see how the team does on the field where you have factual reasons of the team sucks.
So all the folks who “gave up their season tickets” and “not attending another game until Stearns is fired” you sticking to your guns now?

TNA Wrestling Premiere
I am taking a break from the Mets and baseball for this post. One of my other fave things to watch and go to events is wrestling. I have a couple of buddies who are pro wrestlers and it has always been something I’ve enjoyed since I was a kid.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. AKA TNA Wrestling. This company has been around since 2002 and was founded by Jeff Jarrett. The company had changed ownership over the years and had had some real lows but has also had some great highs. AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Joe Hendry, Broken Matt Hardy, The X Division, The System, Beer Money, Abyss, Petey Williams just to name a few folks that have been there over the years and made the company what it is today. Talents that have gone on to be big stars in other companies around the world have been in TNA. Also let’s not forget wrestling stars who came to TNA after runs in other companies. Christian Cage, Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, Mickey James, Victoria. They all helped the younger talent grow. Why am I stating all this? I have always been a fan of TNA wrestling and I was and am stoked that they have a big tv deal to make this company bigger. Here is the problem though. What the hell was going on with the production/network side of things. Whole matches with title were missed. It felt like ad breaks went on forever and then they would come back for 15 seconds and then go back to ad breaks again. The shot of the celebs before the Ryan Nemeth segment showed a huge part of the arena being empty. There are ways to shoot that to not let that happen. It’s a shame that these issues are the things that are going to be talked about and not AJ Styles returning( I feel there were issues with his entrance too).
The action was great when it was actually being shown but the network with the ads felt amateur. And the normal fans will be blaming TNA for it and not the network dropping the ball. It’s a shame because this was a “big” debut show and there can be some small hiccups to be expected to happen but the ad breaks killed it for everyone. I am hoping Genesi the PPV delivers and can erase this first episode off of folks minds. The TNA brand definitely deserves that’s because it’s a great company with great wrestlers and production usually.
