As a young baseball player, Jay spent countless hours traveling across the nation to attend tournaments and controlled much of the family schedule year round with practices and games. The Bruce family never missed a game, including his older sister Kellan, who is his biggest fan and cheerleader.
The Jay Bruce Golf Benefit was established in 2010 to help adults and children in Southeast Texas with intellectual and developmental disabilities like Kellan get off the sidelines and become players in their own lives.
We have partnered with The Arc of greater Beaumont, a local organization dedicated to this mission, to promote the success of these individuals as well as supporting the Life Skills department at Beaumont West Brook High School where Kellan received much of her education.
