METS AND AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION LAUNCH “EAT SMART WITH THE METS” PROGRAM
The New York Mets Foundation and American Heart Association are partnering to launch “Eat Smart with the Mets”, a nutrition program that will encourage healthy eating for young students and provide nutritional knowledge throughout the local community.
To kick off the initiative, the Mets and AHA will provide Color Your Heart Healthy placemats and cookbooks at a series of rallies for the students participating in the program. Throughout the school year, the Mets Foundation will work with the schools to engage students, teachers and parents in different events that will inspire a healthy lifestyle. More than 1,000 local students will be participating in the program.
