1986 Mets Jersey: Dr. J

Offered is a New York Mets professional model road jersey custom made for Dr. J for the Mets 1986 World Championship season. The jersey was worn for a promotional event featuring Mets ace Dwight Gooden, dubbed "Dr. K," by analogy with basketball great "Dr. J", Julius Erving. The Goodman and Sons jersey (size 42) is original and unaltered featuring Erving’s number "6" on the front and back, "Erving" on the back and a "Mets 25th Anniversary" patch on the sleeve. Exhibits nice use. An intriguing piece of Dr. J memorabilia from the Mets unforgettable season. Erving has signed the back in black sharpie. Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving as well an LOA from PSA DNA.
