Bartolo Colon Home Run

I know it's been a couple of days but that's how long it took me to process what went on Saturday night. First of all, the7linearmy was awesome. Loud and crazy in a good way. Brought a lot of energy to the park.

This all started Saturday when a group of us went to Petco for a private tour which was awesome in itself. While on the tour one of my friends said she felt like a Bartolo HR was coming tonight. This was mention while we were in the Western Metal building where Piazza hit the T in Metal.

The 7line sections were already electric from being around each other and with Cespedes hitting a HR to give the Mets a lead.

Then it happened.

Bartolo "Big Sexy" Colon came up to bat. He fell into a pitch, got a hold of hit and it cleared the Left Field wall. Wait. Did I just see that? There was maybe there for a second where everyone was quiet, then boom. Mets fans through out the park went nuts. It was an explosion of sound that I have probably only have heard two, maybe three times in my life at a sporting event. There were high fives, fist bumps, hugs all around. I think this might have been baseball's version of big foot. A never before seen HR by Big Bart.

The reaction from the Mets themselves was awesome also. They lost their minds. Then they all cleared the dugout like so many other players have done in the past when someone hits their first HR of their career.

I am glad Colon got to have this moment. With his ups and downs in his career he has always seemed like he enjoys baseball. He plays a "game" and has fun doing so.

Great job Bartolo. Great Job.
