QBC 2026- I am sure I'll be hearing this soon.

Hello Everyone. Mets Fans, QBC Fans. Zac Thornton Fans, Michael Sergio Fans, Keith Hernandez Fans. I would say also Mediagoon fans but we all know I don't have any fans, you all just put up with me.

Anyway, I know I am going to have to address this eventually so I am going to jump in front of the oncoming traffic. While most folks understand what is going on out there with the economy and rising prices, there will still be some folks who are going to question the pricing of the QBC tickets and autographs. Here is a question/statement that we have already received.

"The Ticket Prices are more than last year!?!"

Yes. That is correct. While we at the QBC try our best to keep everything at a lower cost it is hard. We operate on razor thin budgets because of this. If we did this to make money, the prices would be a lot higher. We are able to get a good deal at the Four Points for the venue and we are lucky to have them as the place to go to for the last few years. We have a very good working relationship with the hotel and the entity that runs the venue and the food. The variables that changes the prices are the players that are being brought in to do the QBC panels and signings. Can you believe folks think that these guests do this for free? They don't realize that the Mets have nothing to do with this event no matter how many times we say it. There is the players fee, the flights, the hotels, and other accommodations that have to be accounted for in the budgeting. The appearance fee that the players charge vary by the players and if we want certain players that fee can fluctuate yearly.

"You think I should come to this thing after how the Mets team was put together and performed last season?"

Why yes. We thing you should. It is a great day to enjoy your fandom for the good memories and you get to meet your current and former players. Everyone has a good time and you can ask anyone who attends what they think of the QBC. We are more intimate than a normal team fan fest and you get to hang with fellow fans and sports personalities. We aren't going to try and twist your arms over this. Hopefully you have friends who have attended in the past and they can tell you how great the event is.

"Wait the Mets aren't a part of this?"

Nope. Do we get giveaways from the Minor league teams and from the Mets too? Yes we do. This is a great thing that they do but no, there is no other support.

"If you aren't making a ton of money off of the QBC, then why do it?"

You want the honest answer or do you want my wiseass answer? " I still do it because I am nuts. When the QBC is done at 7pm that night I don't think about the next event until....I wake up the next day and I am already trying to plan it. Yeah I am that crazy.

Honest answer- I have thought about throwing in the towel in the past because of some of the stuff that has happened over the years and you know what stops me from doing that? My fellow fans who tell me how great the day is and that it means so much to them and they got to meet their favorite players and got to hear stories on the planes that they never heard before. That's the main reason. Why should the fellow Mets fans get screwed out of a fun day especially when the team was sucking for life for most of the season until the young blood was playing.

That all being said, I am glad that The QBC family and friends can brighten folks days.

Thank you for all the work you put into. To all the volunteers. The vendors. And of course the wonderful hosts, presenters and guests. Can’t wait!
