When I was younger, I do remember waiting for the Home Run Derby. The last decade or so not so much. I don’t find it fun to watch at all. Players just hitting a ball over a wall in a competition that really doesn’t mean anything means nothing to me. I even tried playing it in MLB The Show the other day and I had to shut it off. Does the HR challenge need to go away? Does it need to change? Should there be different skill competitions like there are in the NHL All-Star game? I have no clue. All I know is I more then likely won’t be watching tonight.
