Very Rare, a piece of New York Mets History
1983 TIDEWATER TIDES, Governor's Cup Triple-A Championship Ring!
Managed by Davey Johnson, it was this historical season that led to the Mets making him the manager of the Major League club.
This ring was from a front office staff member, Herb Simpson, a sports legend in his own right, and founder of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He was also the person responsible for starting the funds to bring a baseball team to Tidewater, eventually to become the Tidewater Tides.
