Up for sale a super rare New York Mets Sports Specialties green Wool Snapback Hat. I bought on ebay a while back and the guy I bought it from said it was a game worn #12 Mets hat. He said he had paperwork at once and misplaced it. He didnt know what year its from or what player. He also said he bought at mears sports auction and that it was a St. Patricks game worn hat. I never tried to get it authenticated but I asked around seeing if somebody can give me more info. The year of the hat might be early to mid 90's. I have been collecting hats for maybe 3-4 years a never seen one like it. It is in excellent condition as well and looks hardly worn. Have any questions, just let me know. Thank you.
As usual, I had an idea who would answer me... My buddy Jessie says,
Believe it or not, these were the style worn in ST in the early 90s. They wore green BP style and green pinstriped racing pants. The hats were similar, to this. I bought Hundley's rookie (49) full uni, including the hat. I will check and post pic to compare later.
