LOS ANGELES — Todd Frazier was incredulous it took until his latest blast, earlier this week, for somebody to ask about his tradition of pretending to check his watch during his home run trot.“I check my watch and let [the pitcher] know it wasn’t the right time basically to throw that pitch,” Frazier said.
The Mets third baseman hasn’t enjoyed as many opportunities to check his watch as he would have liked, especially this season, but after a stretch in which his job appeared in jeopardy, Frazier lately is among the team’s hottest hitters.He took a .985 OPS that included a 15-for-42 (.357) batting average over his past 12 games into Wednesday night’s 9-8 loss to the Dodgers before going 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. Suddenly, team brass’ faith in playing the 33-year-old former All-Star has been rewarded.

I am squaring up balls more and finding more holes and that’s baseball. I know what I’m capable of doing and I have just to keep on doing it.”
I think he is actually looking at his watch to see if Metspolice is tweeting about him from a burner account.
