The Mets Pod: Mets bats to look to get going, NL East gets tight.

Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo are back with Episode 23 of The Mets Pod, as the Mets face a tight race in the NL East, and look to get right against some struggling teams in September. The guys look at Buck Showalter’s move to slot Jeff McNeil up higher in the lineup, and the overall issues with the offense in a slump. Connor and Joe also cover concern for Max Scherzer, potential relief roles for both Tylor Megill and David Peterson, and the possibility of Joey Lucchesi also joining the bullpen at some point. Later in the show, they deliver an update on Francisco Alvarez, and open up the Mailbag to take on questions about a playoff pitching rotation, what’s going on with Dom Smith, and who can eat the most hot dogs head-to head between Connor and Joe. Be sure to subscribe to The Mets Pod at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
