Doc Gooden arrested for drug possession last month



Just when you think that Doc Gooden was finally in a good way, This gets released.

Troubled Mets Hall of Famer Dwight Gooden was busted last month in New Jersey for possession of cocaine, The Post has learned.
The retired pitcher, best known as “Doc,” was arrested June 7 by Holmdel Police, who pulled him over late that night and allegedly found him with “two, small green zip-lock style plastic baggies containing suspected cocaine,” according to a criminal complaint filed by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
He was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence at the time, the complaint obtained by The Post Friday shows.

This sucks because I was hearing good things about Doc being in a better way of life and was hoping that he finally turned it around. Hopefully one day before it’s too late it will finally click and stick.v
