Hey Guys, It was a Great time yesterday at the QBC. I will be delving into all the stuff we had video and audio of. But for now, here is SNY's Mets Pod panel.

Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo are live from the 2022 Queens Baseball Convention for a very special Episode 36 of The Mets Pod with a live audience! The guys react to the departure of Jacob deGrom, and explore all the potential moves to come from the New York Mets, including all the possibilities in the free agent and trade markets. And of course the Mailbag is live as well, as Connor and Joe take questions from the crowd. Be sure to subscribe to The Mets Pod at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or...

Some info, schedule and note about parking for QBC 2022

Wow. One day away. Tickets started moving fast this week. I am trying to keep up putting together the envelopes for your admission and then last night I started loading into the venue and its looking good.  I just wanted to hit you guys up with the schedule and some parking places in case the valet does get filled and the street parking in not sufficient. I did a quick ride around last night just to see what was around.

We are going to try to separate you folks into two lines for entry. Doors open at 10:30. No promises but we are going to try to get you guys in a little bit earlier if all goes well in the set up. When you check in Your will be given an envelope with your names on it. This includes your admission wristbands(so you can walk in and out of the venue if you wish), autograph tickets, inscription tickets and fast pass tickets if you ordered them.

I sent an email to the VIP tables yesterday about if some of their party is not there when some of them are checked in.

If you bought tickets for other fans and they are running late you can either take all your tickets and wristbands and leave theirs in the envelope that everything came in or ask for a new envelope and out their names on it at the check in table like they do at Will Call at events.

The first three rows near the stage will be for the VIP packages whose wristbands are silver.
There will be for VIP tables on the the left side of the stage that is for the VIPs that purchased them. Please do not sit there if you don't belong.

The Admission Bands are blue and orange. The Fast pass bands are green.
The Silver VIP passes are fast passes also.

I know I really don't have to say this but I will anyway. Remember all the volunteers at QBC are fellow Mets fans. They are donating their time because they care about their Mets family and want them to have a good time. Be nice. Be courteous. Be Respectful. We have a really good and helpful crew that always try their best to make the QBC a great event.

Jay Horwitz writes about Gil Hodges

Jay who is receiving the Gil Hodges Unforgettable Fire award this Saturday at QBC 2022 wrote a nice pies about Gil over on the Mets Insider Blogs

 By Jay Horwitz

I thought I knew Gil Hodges but I really didn’t.

I read all about his standout career with the Brooklyn Dodgers. All the home runs, RBI, Gold Gloves and pennants. Like all Mets fans, I know all about the Miracle Mets and the 1969 World Series. But I came to realize Gil was so much more than stats and records.

The HOF finally recognized that after 50 long years. He was a man of character and decency. He served his country in the Marines for three years , won a medal for his service and didn’t even tell his family.Gil and his wife Joan were staunch backers of Jackie Robinson’s fight, both on and off the field. He was one of Jackie’s prime protectors. Gil was beloved by his Brooklyn community and thousands attended his funeral. His 1969 players told me he treated everyone the same, no favorites.

With that being said I want to tell everyone how proud I am to be receiving the “Gil Hodges Award” at the Queens Baseball Convention on Saturday. Gil’s daughter, Irene Hodges, will be with me. Just to have something with Gil’s name on it means so much.
