At that time, Alderson will shift to a new role as special advisor to owners Steve and Alex Cohen and the senior leadership team.

“When I asked Sandy to come back to the team, it was for a defined period of time and with a specific mandate – revive our culture and this iconic franchise for our fans, partners and employees,” Mets Owner, Chairman and CEO Steve Cohen said. “Sandy has done those very things and more and we have begun a search for his successor. When we find that person, I have asked Sandy to continue in a new role as special advisor to me and the senior leadership team.”

“For me personally and for the organization, it’s the right time for this transition,” Alderson said. “We are having a successful season, we have made several key additions to our senior leadership team and we have built a strong and forward-thinking culture. QBC 2022: Where are the ticket prices?

We hope you guys like what we are putting together so far for the QBC 2020: Bringing Sexy Back. A lot of you folks have been asking about pricing of the event. Since we just finally got all the players settled in on (Bartolo Colón, RA Dickey, and Howard Johnson). If you have been to QBC before you know we aren’t just show that is for signings but we are a full out convention. We have panels, vendors, signings, giveaways, etc.

We are working on the pricing right now but this is what I can tell you what we will be doing. There are no general admission tickets. You will have to buy ticket package that includes admission and one autograph. There will also be limited VIP tables that will be available. The VIP tables will be an amazing deal. We will also have a couple other add ins like fast pass to skip the lines but that will also be in limited supply. You can also buy additional autograph tickets so you can get more than one thing signed.

Basically the ticket bundles will be:

Admission plus HOJO autograph

Admission plus Bartolo Colón autograph

Admission plus RA Dickey autograph

VIP Table for four- I’ll announce what that includes when we announce pricing.

Fast passes

We still are one of the cheapest conventions to get come see a whole show and also get autographs.

Every year we get, “I don’t understand why you charge for this/so much for this.” And every year I have to say, the talent doesn’t come to the QBC for free. The Venue isn’t free. The airlines don’t fly the players in for free. The hotels don’t give us rooms for free. You should see how much it costs to get into NY Comic Con and what they charge for meet and greets. Even some of these smaller cons charge way more than we do.

We want to give our fellow fans the best experience we can and want you to keep coming back to enjoy what we put together.

Tickets go on Sale September 22nd. The QBC is December 3rd. Ticket prices should be announced Monday. See you guys there.

JEFF MCNEIL, JOINS THE METROPOLITAN PGA FOUNDATION BOARD IN THEIR MISSION TO CHANGE LIVES THROUGH GOLF

NY METS ALL-STAR, JEFF MCNEIL, JOINS THE METROPOLITAN PGA FOUNDATION BOARD IN THEIR MISSION TO CHANGE LIVES THROUGH GOLF

The Metropolitan PGA and New York Mets’, McNeil Will Kick Off Their Partnership With Special Pre-Game Donation Presentation

New York, NY – The Metropolitan PGA Section Foundation is pleased to welcome New York Mets’ All-Star Second Baseman, Jeff McNeil to their Board. The MLB Star will announce his partnership with The Foundation on September 16th, 2022 at Citi Field with an pre-game donation presentation to the Cohen Children’s Hospital on Long Island and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Westchester.

McNeil has always been an avid golfer, competing in tournaments throughout his life and has seen first-hand the positive impact golf can have on an individual. McNeil looks forward to helping the Foundation in its mission to serve the Metropolitan New York golf community and provide services and programs to children and veterans throughout the region, saying “I’m honored to be joining The Metropolitan PGA Section Foundation and inspired by the work that they do. Being able to give back to the community through one of my favorite sports, golf, made joining the board an easy decision.”

The Metropolitan PGA Section Foundation has always worked to positively impact young lives and provides over 5,000 children a year access to golf through their youth programs, the Met PGA Junior Tour, PGA Junior League, and Drive, Chip, and Putt. The Foundation has also sponsored Golf-in-Schools programs and actively supports the New York City Public School Athletic League along with their First Tee initiative, which provides golf opportunities and life skills programs to kids who may not otherwise have had access.

The Foundation’s most recent initiative, PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) works to provide free golf instruction to area veterans. The program utilizes golf as a rehabilitation tool to improve our veterans' quality of life by enhancing their mental, social, physical, and emotional well-being. In addition to 6 weeks of clinics to learn to play, the Foundation provides each veteran with a set of golf clubs and transitions the participants from instruction into an ongoing golf league. In July, the PGA HOPE program celebrated its 1,000th graduate from the Metropolitan area.

McNeil’s love of the game and his passion for helping kids and veterans makes his decision to join the Foundation Board an obvious extension of his commitment to the New York Mets community. The Metropolitan PGA Section Foundation is “thrilled to welcome McNeil to help us to tell our story and promote the wonderful impact of golf among our youth and military veterans constituencies.”

About The Metropolitan PGA Section Foundation:

At the very forefront of the National PGA is the Metropolitan Section. The leadership, innovativeness and quality that has become synonymous with the Metropolitan PGA programs elevate the association to a position of prominence both in the local golf community and among its national counterparts. Much of the success of the Met PGA and its Foundation are directly attributed to its location. Not only is New York the corporate and financial capital of the world, but to a great extent it is also the centerpiece of the golf world. Golf has flourished in the Metropolitan area, largely because of the willingness and desire of the area clubs and courses to support and maintain the traditions and heritage of the game.
