METS-NATIONALS SUSPENDED TONIGHT Game Will Resume Tomorrow at 4:10 P.M.

METS-NATIONALS SUSPENDED TONIGHT

Game Will Resume Tomorrow at 4:10 P.M. Before Regularly Scheduled Contest

FLUSHING, N.Y., August 10, 2021 – The New York Mets have announced that tonight’s game against the Washington Nationals has been suspended due to rain. It will resume as the first game of a single-admission doubleheader tomorrow at 4:10 p.m. Game one tomorrow will resume in the second inning and will be a nine-inning game. Tomorrow’s game, originally scheduled for 7:10 p.m., will be a seven-inning game and will begin approximately 30-40 minutes after the conclusion of game one, but not before 7:10 p.m.

Only tickets marked “Wednesday, August 11 – Game 56” will be valid for admission to the doubleheader tomorrow. Tickets for tonight’s game WILL NOT be valid for admission to either game tomorrow.

Fans holding a paid ticket for tonight’s game marked “Tuesday, August 10, 2021 – Game 55” may choose one of the following two options:

Exchange it for a ticket comparable in price and location to another Mets 2021 regular season home game at Citi Field (including tomorrow’s doubleheader, but excluding the September 10-12 Subway Series vs. Yankees) subject to availability; or

Exchange it for a ticket of a different price or location to another Mets 2021 regular season home game at Citi Field (including tomorrow’s doubleheader, but excluding September 10-12 Subway Series vs. Yankees), subject to availability. If such an exchange is made for a higher priced ticket, the face value of the paid ticket for today’s game will be applied as a credit toward the price of the higher priced ticket.

Rain checks will be moved to the bottom of your Ticket Wallet in the MLB Ballpark app and be displayed as “Postponed Games 8/10 Nationals @Mets” tile.

Original parking receipts for the Tuesday, August 10, 2021 game will be honored for any Mets game during the remainder of the 2021 regular season. Prepaid parking passes can be exchanged via fans’ “My Mets Tickets Account” for any remaining 2021 regular season home game. No refunds are available for the initial parking entry.

Complimentary tickets to today's game and those marked "NO RAINCHECK" have no value and do not constitute a rain check.

New York Mets’ Wives To Join City Harvest for Food Rescue Repack To Help Feed New Yorkers Struggling with Hunger

On Wednesday, August 11th, the New York Mets’ Wives will joinCity Harvest, New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization, to pack dozens of family-sized bags filled with fresh produce and canned items that City Harvest trucks will deliver to food pantries and soup kitchens across the five boroughs to help feed families in need.

Repack events like this support City Harvest’s work to rescue and deliver over more than 111 million pounds of food this year to help feed the 1.5 million New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity. Much of the food that City Harvest rescues rom farmers, wholesalers, or manufacturers comes to the organization in large capacity containers and -- thanks to the power of volunteers -- must be repacked into smaller, family-sized units to be delivered to food pantries, soup kitchens, and the organization's Mobile Markets across the city. For nearly 40 years, City Harvest has been committed to rescuing nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste and getting it to New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables.

The repack event follows the Amazin’ Mets Foundation and Citi’s July Virtual Food Drive, which raised enough to help feed more than 100,000 New Yorkers for a day, as New York City continues to grapple with the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Amazin’ Mets Foundation will present the check to City Harvest CEO Jilly Stephens during an in-game ceremony at Citi Field following the repack event. Alexandra Cohen, President of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, will also be in attendance at the repack and check presentation.
