Can someone not tarnished please buy the Mets?

Why isn't there anyone that wants to own the Mets that don't have controversy or past indiscretions. The Mets organization needs to get away from anyone with any kind of a tainted presence. You can also go here to see where JLo's allegiances lie on the field. It's amazing how the Wilpons with their crappy way that they have run the team over the years have made Mets fans salivate for anyone to buy the team. Somehow ARod has become a loved figure after his cheating using PEDS. I haven't forgotten.

From the NY POST
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez appear to be getting serious about buying the Mets.
The power couple retained JPMorgan Chase to raise capital for a possible bid, a source confirmed to The Post on Monday, two months after our newspaper first reported A-Rod and J.Lo had emerged as potential suitors to purchase the team.
“It’s real,” a source with knowledge of the situation told The Post’s Thornton McEnery of the JPMorgan Chase move.
The development was first reported by Scott Soshnick of the business platform Sportico.
Rodriguez, the controversial baseball fixture who grew up a Mets fan before becoming a polarizing star with the Yankees, was “kicking the tires” on the idea of getting into an upcoming auction for the team, The Post reported in February.

Mets fan Pin Man and his family need some positive vibes from fellow fans.

Sorry to hear this about Nick and his family.

From the NY Post.
Prayers up, Mets fans, for The Pin Man.

Nick Giampietro, the popular staple at Shea Stadium and Citi Field for his pin-adorned Mets jersey and cap, was diagnosed this week with the coronavirus after his mother lost her life earlier this month to COVID-19. The Howard Beach resident’s father also currently is hospitalized in Queens due to the viral pandemic.

“Going to the games and interacting with everyone is something I have so much fun doing and I miss it right now,” Giampietro told The Post on Saturday. “I miss all of the camaraderie and all the love from the Mets fans. I just hope that everything gets back to normal, or somewhat normal, in the near future, as we all do.

“And I just want to tell everyone this is a really serious thing, and they should take every precaution they can. With God watching over us, hopefully we all can get through it.”
Margaret Giampietro, 87, was admitted to the hospital on April 2, her son said. She immediately tested positive and died days later. She was suffering from dementia and had regular homecare from as many as five nurses, but doctors could not pinpoint where or when she was exposed to the virus. “We knew she was dying, but we couldn’t see her, and that’s what really sucks about this,” Nick Giampietro said, adding they had a very small funeral procession involving only immediate family, but they weren’t even allowed out of their cars at the cemetery. “We didn’t want her to go [to the hospital] initially, but she was not eating, and she wouldn’t even swallow any water or anything.“We were hoping she’d be able to get hydrated and get better at the hospital, but evidently the virus already had taken over."

@Metspolice: An interview with Tyson Beck, artist for the Dwight Gooden Topps Project 2020 card

An interview with Tyson Beck, artist for the Dwight Gooden Topps Project 2020 card

Topps is doing this really cool Project 2020 set which you’ve seen me write about a few times.  Today’s conversation is with Tyson Beck and his take on the 1985 Gooden card.
Can you talk about the project in general and what excites you about it?
The project is very unique, 20 artists each reworking 20 iconic baseball cards. For me what excites me is being trusted to recreate some of the most iconic sports cards ever produced. To have my name and footprint on this initiative set of cards is very humbling, especially when I live on the other side of the world to where the MLB is played.

I didn't buy this one, but I did buy the Nolan Ryan one that was put up.
