Tickets
We were asked by folks in the past just to have General Admission Only tickets and we listened. We separated out the autograph tickets where you can buy singles, a combo pack, or a VIP pack.
Why is the admission price higher then in the past?
You have made the QBC so successful, we had to go to a bigger venue and as such, venue fees have gone up. We have done our best to keep prices as low as possible to ensure as many fans can participate.
What guests are we having?
JERRY KOOSMAN
1969 World Series Champion Jerry Koosman will be having his number 36 retired in Flushing in 2020. This will be Jerry's first time speaking in front of a live crowd since the announcement. Jerry will be doing an hour long panel with crowd Q and A.
Usually our guests sign for around an hour after their panels. However Jerry has expressed to us that he may not be able to sign day of the QBC. Because we wanted him here and we obviously don't want to him to overexert himself we agreed on an alternative. We will be offering for sale a package of a Limited Edition Dave Majo QBC 2020 exclusive print pre-signed by Jerry plus a photo op with your camera.
If Jerry feels up to it, he mght be able to sign later in the day, however we will not know that until the day of the QBC.
PLEASE NOTE - Those who have already purchased one of the Koosman Packages (either the pre-signed print or VIP package) will have priority access to purchase an additional autograph should they be available. In addition, package purchasers wil also receive a discount off the additional Jerry Koosman autograph.
We hope you understand why we have to offer the autographs like this with Jerry. We know it isn't ideal but we really wanted Jerry to be at the QBC this year and to be able to get you his autograph if you wanted it.

HOWARD JOHNSON
A fan favorite NY Met, Hojo was part of the 1986 World Series team, became part of the 30/30 club (30 Home Runs/30 Stolen Bases), the 1991 NL Home Run and RBI leader, and former Mets coach. HoJo will be doing an hour panel with crowd Q and A along with an autograph signing. We are very happy to have HoJo joining us in 2020. We have been trying to have him at the QBC for a few years now and timing just didn't work out. We know you guys have been asking for him and we have finally been able to pull it off.

BILLY WAGNER
One of only 5 pitchers with over 100 saves for the Mets, Billy Wagner was an integral part of the 2006 NL East Championship team, compiling 40 saves and finishing 6th in Cy Young balloting that year.
Billy spent 4 years in Flushing, amassing 101 saves, 2 All-Star appearances and collected his milestone 300th career save in 2006.
Billy is currently 6th all-time in Saves with 422 and in 2019 appeared on the Hall of Fame ballot for the 4th time collecting 16.7% of votes, his 2nd consecutive increase in voting percentage.
Billy will be doing an hour panel with audience Q&A followed by an autograph session.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LINEUP IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Thanks to all who came out to the Memorabilia Market

We raised almost a $1000 dollars that went to much needed repairs to the St Sebastian Parish Center. It was fun to meet folks that came out to something that I put for their first time. Got to talk QBC to a lot of folks and got to hang with some cool vendors too.
Thanks again everyone.

METS SIGN RHP MICHAEL WACHA TO A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT

METS SIGN RHP MICHAEL WACHA TO A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT

FLUSHING, N.Y., December 13, 2019 – The New York Mets today announced that the club has signed All-Star right-handed pitcher Michael Wacha to a one-year deal. In a corresponding move, right-handed pitcher Chris Mazza has been designated for assignment.

Wacha, 28, owns a lifetime 59-39 record with a 3.91 career ERA in 165 appearances (151 starts) over seven major league seasons, all with St. Louis. He was named to the National League All-Star team in 2015, when he won a career-high 17 games for the Cardinals. He is one of just 14 NL pitchers with a winning percentage above .600 since 2013 (min. 60 decisions).

“With the addition of Michael to our staff, our rotation will continue to be an area of strength in 2020,” Mets Executive Vice President and General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen said. “Adding a fourth All-Star starter with proven success in the postseason gives us a group of starting pitchers with the potential to be among the best in the game.”

FanGraphs ranks Wacha’s curveball as one of the 10 best in baseball over the last two years. His career home run rate of 1.01 HR/9 ranks 19th in the NL (min. 750 innings) since 2013. The Iowa City, Iowa native was one of just two starting pitchers with to post a HR/9 ratio under 1.00 every season from 2013-2018, joined by Gio González.

In 13 second-half games (10 starts) last year, he had a 3.58 ERA (20 earned runs/50.1 innings) and made 29 appearances for the Cardinals last season, including 24 starts, going 6-7 with a 4.76 ERA (67 earned runs/126.2 innings).

Wacha owns a 3.52 ERA (49 earned runs/125.1 innings) in 21 career starts vs. the Mets’ four NL East rivals. His lone shutout came at Citi Field in a three-hitter on July 18, 2017.

As a rookie in 2013, Wacha was named the NLCS MVP after winning both of his starts, including the pennant-clinching Game 6, vs. the Dodgers. He did not allow a run in 13.2 innings in the 2013 NLCS, facing off against Clayton Kershaw in each game. That fall, he became the third rookie to record at least four wins in a single postseason and established a rookie record for strikeouts in a single postseason (33).

@QBConvention: Friday Push

When we started the QBC many moons ago, we did it because there wasn't a Mets Fan Fest at the  time. We put something together that our fellow fans have enjoyed since then. This year has been a crazy year for us with the whole Yahoo thing and then the Mets wanting us to be a part of their fan fest and work it for free. It has been a battle. Dan and I are trying to knock it out of the park again. We went to a different venue because we needed to upgrade the size of it so folks could move more freely. It took us a while to find a venue because we were negotiating with the Mets about possibly joining forces. We were actually thinking about running it at Citi Field but you can see that was a nope. If you noticed SNY isn't sponsor this year. I wonder why. We have a bit of an uphill battle since the Mets Fan fest had been announced. We have a great lineup of former player coming to Mulcahy's of Wantagh on Janyary18th 2020. Jerry Koosman who is having his number retired. We have HOJO and Billy Wagner coming too. This is a real fan fest. A fan fest brought to you by fans, Built by our fellow fans, and for our fellow fans. If you had friends that wanted to go to the Mets Fan Fest and tickets were sold out, all them to com here. Dan and I do this as a passion project for our fellow fans. We do this even as if we were the fans coming to it and what we want to see. I am not going to say that the Mets Fan fest is going to suck, but it is going to be very very generic.

If you haven't gotten your tickets now, you should grab them. Do you think a family member or a friend would like to go? These make great holiday, birthday, and anniversary gifts.
