Why make these Mets caps?

The black one is passable and I can see someone buy it, but WTF is that thing split blue and orange.

Wow. This is a Diehard Mets fan...

From the NY Post
Long Island’s Antoinette Cristina bleeds orange and blue — and she’s shelled out the green to prove it.
The 93-year-old from New Hyde Park is the Mets’ longest-running season ticket holder, dating back to the Amazin’s inaugural 1962 season at the Polo Grounds, when her nosebleed seats cost about $2.60 each per game, or about $800 total for the year.
Today, her family pays $45,657 for four tickets in the ninth row at Citi Field.
“I’m still with them!” said the feisty nonagenarian, who recalls Gil Hodges was her favorite player from the band of lovable losers who lost a major-league record 120 games that first year.

Almsot $46,000 a season for four tickets? Holy shit..... Def diehards..... I hope I am still like this in my 90's....

Game Used Majory Stoneman Douglas School Possible Raffle

Seth Lugo #67 - Autographed & Game-Used Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Cap

I bought a few of the MSDS hats off auction from the Mets.
These hats were worn Opening Day by the Mets in honor of the Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas that were involved in that heinous school shooting a few weeks ago. I spent a decent amount of money on them because the proceeds went to charity benefiting those affected by this tragedy. I want to do more.

If I was to do a raffle opening day for a Majory Stoneman Douglas Eagles game Used Seth Lugo and signed hat, with the money raised being donated to the MSDS charity, would you guys enter for it? $10 an entry? Would you guys be in for it? I'll be in the MTA lot hanging with the T7LA so if you want to help raise some money and maybe win this cap, come stop buy. My idea is that you guys bring  $10 bill and you write your name and number on it then drop $10 per ticket to get put into raffle bucket. Sometime during the tailgate, when we feel like we raised a good amount of money, we will pull a a random ticket out and see who our lucky winner is. The proceeds will all be donated to charity for the victims and their families of this tragedy.

Mikkeller Brewing NYC at Citi Field Opens Sunday

From the NY DAILY NEWS

Take me out to the ball game — and the brewery. Citi Field — the Mets' Flushing Meadows ball park — is getting a 10,000-square-foot brewery, bar and dining space called Mikkeller Brewing NYC . Opening Sunday, it’s the Denmark-based craft brewer’s first U.S. location outside of California. Best of all, it’ll be open year-round and visitors don’t even need a ticket to a game. There will be 60 different rotating beers on tap to drink at the bar or in the 120-seat communal dining area, which will serve grub from Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors, Queens’ Unidentified Flying Chickens and more. There will also be tours offered in the beer production area.
