Islanders bid to build new arena in Belmont NY accepted.

As a Rangers fan I am glad for the Islanders Fans. They needed that team to get out of Brooklyn. Brooklyn a place that they should have never, ever have moved to. The Barclays Center wasn't made for hockey. When it was being built the developers even said it wasn't "ever" designed for hockey.  Congrats to the Isles and their fans.

From Newsday-
The Islanders’ bid includes an 18,000-seat, year-round arena that would host 150 events annually as well as 435,000-square feet of space for retail, a hotel with 200 to 250 rooms and a 10,000-square foot “innovation center” that would be developed with resident input.
The Islanders partners in the development include Sterling Project Development, a real estate firm run by the Mets’ Wilpon family, and Oak View Group, an arena development company partially funded by Madison Square Garden.

Here's a real question for you Mets/Islanders fans:

If you are boycotting the Mets because of the Wilpons, do you boycott the Isles also because the Wilpons are partners in the new arena/development in Belmont?

Shea Stadium: Diamond Club Glass Door

Who wakes up and says, I really wanted the door from the Diamond Club at Shea Stadium???

Up for bid is a rare MLB memorabilia item. It is a New York Mets Shea Stadium door to the Mets Restaurant called the "Diamond Club". There were a few sections in the Diamond Club and this door was for the entrance to the "Dining Room".
This door is 36 inches wide by 84 inches tall (standard door size) with 1/2 inch thick solid glass!
I contacted the company that produce these door for a quote and found that they sell these doors as a pair for over $12,000! (see photo of quote). And that is with no glass engraving! This starting bid is less than a 1/10th of its value!
Door has a MLB hologram ID number on it plus it comes with a LOA from Mr Shea Stadium. If you need a pair see our other listing for a set from the "Grill Room" section.
NOTE: The last two photos of the Diamond Club, postcards, do not come with the door.

Woah... @QBConvention Tickets are really moving...

We are really getting deep into the holidays and gift giving is abound. I just wanted you to know we have around a 100 tickets left for the QBC on Jan 20th 2018 at Katch Astoria. If you were thinking about getting a ticket you should grab it/them now. "I was going to wait until the day of and buy at the door." There is a really, really good chance that there isn't going to be any at the door that day. This is the fasted that we have ever seen tickets fly out the door for a QBC before.
