These might be cool to get signed by Keith Hernandez on June 15th during the QBC's Lunch with Keith Hernandez

Go too www.queensbaseballconvention.com for tickets and info about the Lunch with Keith Hernandez.

@QBConvention's Lunch with Keith Hernandez: Meet the Hosts.

As a lot of you know, on Saturday June 15th, The QBC presents Lunch with Keith Hernandez. I'll run down the details at towards the end of this post. I just wanted to do an intro to the talent that we will have on the mics for the event.

Let me start with my go to guy. The Master of Disaster  Ceremonies. The Host with the Most. He's Hip to be Square. The Man(Not Becky Lynch) with a plan. He hads his own podcast. Dennis "DHAPSHOW" Holden.

Dennis Holden is a podcaster, interviewer, host, and comedian born in Yonkers, New York. He continues to live in Westchester County while working all across New York City. Dennis has also taken philanthropic efforts supporting the Huntington’s Disease Society of America and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, in memory of his father and uncles. Dennis is a lifelong fan of the New York Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers, the musical stylings of Billy Joel, John Mayer, Ben Folds and Elvis Costello, and the accomplished and multi-talented careers of Tony Danza and Chris Jericho.
Dennis has hosted the Queens Baseball Convention since 2015 (most recently January 2019) interviewing Mets legends Edgardo Alfonzo and Ed Kranepool, and current player Chris Flexen, appeared on SNY’s Oh Yeah, ABC’s Primetime: What Would You Do? and failed miserably on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Dennis's Co-host of the Lunch with Keith Hernandez is also another buddy of mine and he is also the guy I keep threatening replacing DHAP as host of the QBC, John Saponaro.

John is the host of the Monster Jam Triple Threat series, as seen on Fox Sports 1. He travels to major arenas all over the country emceeing the event and providing play-by-play, commentary, live interviews and crowd engagement.

In 2017, John served as the host and master of ceremonies for the 4th annual New York New Works Theatre Festival at the Duke on 42nd Street and Halloween Harvest at Coney Island's Luna Park.

John has also hosted charity events, film screenings, company outings, trivia contests and roasts. A Brooklyn native, John brings a uniquely New York perspective with him every time he takes the stage. That, coupled with his odd observations and sarcastic wit, make John a favorite in comedy clubs in New York City and all around the country. His conversational delivery and "tell it like it is" demeanor has lead to peers and industry members alike to compare him to a young Bill Hicks and George Carlin... He could only be so lucky!

We are very lucky to have these two fine gentleman helping entertain you guys before and after the Keith signing.

Next we come to the host of the Keith Hernandez panel. The one. The only, Pete McCarthy. Pete is a Host/Anchor at WFAN, WINS, SNY, , also the co-host of The Metrospective . And Play-by-play for the . You might remember how much you loved him on the former WOR Sports Zone. Oh yeah, we have had Pete do some great panels at the last two QBCs.

Man we are lucky to have these three solid talents entertaining us on Saturday June 15th at Mikkeller Brewery at Citi Field.

Here are the details for the event.

Business of Baseball: Mayor of the Citi (Field)

Business of Baseball: Mayor of the City

As the Chief Revenue Officer and unofficial “mayor” of Citi Field, Mets EVP Lou DePaoli oversees a complex operation requiring hundreds of decisions every day.
This is an interesting video. I have met a lot of the Mets VPs over the years but I still haven't met Executive VP Lou DePaoli yet. Hey Lou, you have an invite to the QBC next year. I think you would be great on the Meet the Mets Execs panel.

Why Mets, why?

Syndergaard struggling and throwing over a 100 pitches in six innings? The Mets think it is mental? Maybe it is time to just start concentrating on baseball and not the Kevin Can Wait, Vikings, or Game of Thrones. Maybe it is time to watch some game tape of the next team you are facing. Maybe it is time to be a pitcher and not a hurler. Maybe it is time for the Manager of the team who was a pitching guru to try to help Thor figure out if he is worthy or not. Maybe it is time for David Wright to come back and throw out his lunch again.

Besides Syndergaard yesterday, WTF is up with the pitchers imploding? Why is the Mets supposed strength its weakness? Does Alonso have to pitch also? Can he pitch? I listened to that whole game at work last night and because of the ninth inning, I want to know if I can get a refund of  my time.

Todd Frazier checking his wrist.

From the NY Post.
LOS ANGELES — Todd Frazier was incredulous it took until his latest blast, earlier this week, for somebody to ask about his tradition of pretending to check his watch during his home run trot.“I check my watch and let [the pitcher] know it wasn’t the right time basically to throw that pitch,” Frazier said.
The Mets third baseman hasn’t enjoyed as many opportunities to check his watch as he would have liked, especially this season, but after a stretch in which his job appeared in jeopardy, Frazier lately is among the team’s hottest hitters. He took a .985 OPS that included a 15-for-42 (.357) batting average over his past 12 games into Wednesday night’s 9-8 loss to the Dodgers before going 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. Suddenly, team brass’ faith in playing the 33-year-old former All-Star has been rewarded.
“I am swinging at good pitches,” Frazier said. “I have got my walks up a little bit and I’m still not where I want to be, but I’m on the right track. I am squaring up balls more and finding more holes and that’s baseball. I know what I’m capable of doing and I have just to keep on doing it.”

I think he is actually looking at his watch to see if Metspolice is tweeting about him from a burner account.

WOW. What a first pitch.

Ever since I have thrown out a first pitch (four years today actually), I have been obsessed watching folks tossing out their pitches. This one.. WOW

New @the7line Truck

Just when you think Darren has run out of innovative things he breaks out this...
The 7 Line truck is finally here, and it's going to open up our doors to a whole slew of great avenues for the brand.
We've needed a work vehicle for a while, but I kept pushing it off with hopes that my master plan would finally come to life. After getting the blessing of MLB, I went full steam ahead to purchase a vehicle and get it outfitted with everything on the wish list.
We hired Will Castro from Unique to do all the customizations, and the finished product is FIRE. So besides just looking awesome on the road, what's it for?  A lot.
First off is the expected. Picking up supplies, and dropping off deliveries to our Citi Field kiosk.
On The 7 Line Army home outing days we'll bring the truck to our tailgate parties. Besides making it a whole lot easier to bring party necessities, T7LA resident DJ Elvis, aka Chrome Dome, now how has a booth on wheels.
We also signed up to be a part of Patchogue's Alive After 5 festival. Main Street gets shut down four nights per summer, and it turns in to a giant street fair with live music, vendors, and food trucks. Most of the bars on the block set up on the street, and we'll be there with our merch mobile. It's a really great time, and I highly recommend you circle June 27th, July 11th and 25th, and August 8th on your calendars.
The truck was mainly designed to be a store on wheels. The interior walls are slotted so we can hang our merchandise, and the tv outside will act as our "menu". We plan to release some exclusive truck only merch, so stay tuned for that if you like some rare items for your collection.
We'll also use the truck for parades. Like Monday's Memorial Day Parade in Little Neck / Douglaston, Queens.
View image on TwitterView image on Twitter
All set for the Little Neck / Douglaston Memorial Day parade. Tossing out a couple hundred @The7LineArmy shirseys along the route. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
17 people are talking about this
We plan to team up with local bars for sales / viewing parties. They'd need to have their own parking lots (we can't sell on the street without a permit), and we'll then head inside to watch the game. Let us know where you'd like to see us roll up.
Lastly, the truck is equipped with WiFi. This is huge for Orange And Blue Thing. We'll be able to drive the truck pretty much anywhere and broadcast our show from our set on wheels. So many possibilities here. Especially for guests that can't make it our to our warehouse. We'll go to them.
If you see us out on the road, snap a pic and tag us. We'll pick a few winners each month to get a free care package.
If you catch us on the road, post a pic across social media and tag us. We’ll select a few winners monthly to win a free care package.
See The 7 Line's other Tweets
Join our mailing list to get a heads up once we have a schedule of dates and locations set for the truck this summer.
Thanks for supporting T7L all these years! None of this would have ever been possible without the legions of Mets fans who have supported the brand these last 11 seasons.
