QBC'17: What Are Ya Waiting For?

It's time for a New Year's Resolution, is it not? Time for you fine folks to start realizing how close we are to the Queens Baseball Convention of 2017. You guys for years demanded a fan festival for Mets Fans to gather at and have fun during the off season. And we have delivered. (Except last year, blame mother nature). Maybe you are holding off to see how the weather will be? Maybe you are on the fence? Welllllll...

In all honesty you will have a great time. We have a lot of fun people coming to be part of the panels. We have a media guy that you guys will be happy with to see be part of the State of the Mets panel. There is a meet the Mets Execs panel. You guys always have great exchanges with them. There will be a Tom Seaver Retrospective panel presided over by Greg Prince. The Gil Hodges Award will be presented. There will be Mascots, Memorabilia Vendors and so much more.

Fanatics: Turns Fans into Fools?

I have nothing but bad dealings with Fanatics. I fear for the future of the NHL replica jerseys and when Under Armour and Fanatics take over the MLB license. This is my opinion. You guys might feel different and if you do please let me know. Let's see what I found on twitter.....

Podcast: Orange and Blue Thing

I helped out behind the scenes yesterday "directing/producing" the show. Hope you guys enjoy it. Darren and Brian did a great job for a first time together in front of the camera. I am working on the audio side of it now so we can try to get it up on Soundcloud then eventually iTunes.

Here's our first crack at a podcast. "Orange and Blue Thing" episode 1. Brian Erni and Darren Meenan talking random Mets stuff with Keith Blacknick behind the scenes. Give it a watch, like, share... give us feedback on how you think we did, where we can improve and what you'd like to see from us going forward. Thanks for watching, guys! Was a fun first episode. LGM.

The7line: Single Game Tickets Update

From the7line.com

Game by game tickets

We're working hard over here to roll out our 2017 T7LA game tickets!
First up will be Opening Day, and that'll be available in about 2 weeks. Ticket price is not set in stone just yet, but we're looking at right around $120 for face value. Join our mailing list and you'll be kept in the loop about sale date/time/price.
What do you get for that $?
- A seat in the Big Apple Reserve at Citi Field with T7LA
- Special event rally towel
- T7LA 2017 collectors pin
- T7LA thunder sticks
- An experience unlike anything in baseball

Wait... no t-shirt for home games?
No, not this year. In 2016 we started up our "season ticket" home package and those members were given an authentic custom jersey made by Majestic. The game-by-game members were given a similar t-shirt. If you hit more than one game, you got the same t-shirt numerous times. It was a waste of $ for the fans. This makes the package cheaper while also giving you something exclusive.
 So, what should you wear?
Last year we didn't make a replica version of our members authentic jerseys to sell separately, and fans were going bonkers over them. So, we decided to do away with the t-shirts for home games and offer the jersey as a replica style. We hope you'll want to pick one up and wear it if you're planning to sit with us. They're available TOMORROW as a pre-sale and we are only making them ONCE. The pre-sale will be up for about a week so we can gauge interest and figure out how much fabric to produce. These are all completely custom and made just for us by Majestic. Very cool and available in S-4XL for $129.99. Set an alarm for 11am tomorrow and pick one up HERE.
Do we still get a special t-shirt for the away games?
Yes! The away games will always come with a special event t-shirt. The core group of us travel to all of the away games, but many of you might be cheering with us for the very first time. The away games are a different beast since most of them we only hit once. The shirt ends up being a badge of honor. This year the away tickets are coming with special patches. So, if you do end up getting the jersey, you can sew the patch on. Nice new touch for 2017.

@the7linearmy: Replica Jersey on Sale

Available today starting at 11am!

The 7 Line Army replica jersey will be available in sizes S-4XL for $129.99 each.
These jerseys are completely custom and we'll be taking pre-orders so Majestic can get cracking. This is a ONE TIME thing, so if you want one for the 2017 season, please order as soon as you can. These are special made for The 7 Line Army and once they're gone, we will not be making more.
These are not exclusive just to those who sit with us, but if you're thinking of hitting a game between April and November with T7LA, consider grabbing one while you can.

The jerseys do not come personalized, but feel free to add your name/number once you get it.

We have 307 tickets available per home game for the 2017 season. The other 552 seats are our season ticket members. The season ticket members have an authentic cut of this jersey as part of their package. While not mandatory, we're hoping the game by game members will also like to match. If you plan to sit with us this year, consider picking one up. Tickets will start selling in mid January. CLICK HERE FOR OUR SCHEDULE.

What's the difference between authentic and replica? The replica does not have the sleeve patches, they're not customized with name/number and the Mets across the chest is a printed twill instead of tackle twill. Small differences. Much like an authentic "player" jersey which retails for around $300 and a replica blank which is around $100.
The 7 Line Army single game tickets DO NOT come with t-shirts this upcoming season. The 2017 tickets will be accompanied by a T7LA pin and rally towel dated with the game you'd be attending. If you'd like a jersey to match our home season ticket holders, this will be the time. We know many of you join us at Citi Field more than one time a year, and getting duplicate "T7LA" shirts all year didn't make much sense. This also keeps the ticket costs down, while giving you the option to buy a really nice looking limited edition jersey once to wear all season.
Majestic Cool Base® material is a revolutionary lightweight and breathable jersey with The 7 Line Army / New York Mets colors and styling. This athletic modern fit jersey features Cool Base moisture wicking technology so you stay cool and comfortable as the game heats up. Cheer with The 7 Line Army at Citi Field or anywhere our Mets are playing in 2017!

• Cool Base® Jersey
• 100% Polyester Cool Base fabric for lightweight, breathable feel
• Mets official logo printed tackle twill decoration
• T7L logo on upper left chest
• Tagless neck label and transfer lockertag
• MLB Batter patch on center back neck

If you guys want it customized, contact me and I'll let you know where to go....

QBC'17: The Queens Baseball Convention

DESCRIPTION

WHAT IS THE QUEENS BASEBALL CONVENTION? A mid-winter gathering of fans of baseball, held in Queens. Our design is a combination of “Fan Fest” meets “Comic Con”.
The spirit of the day is for the fans to get together, celebrate baseball in Queens, and to bring the kiddies and bring the wife.
In 2014 events ranged from appearances by Ron Darling and Ed Kranepool (including a free autograph session), several baseball related panels, trivia, the Dating Game, the Mazzy Awards, mascot appearances…and a whole lot more. In 2015, we were joined by Mookie Wilson, Wally Backman and Ed Charles. In 2016...well the blizzard forced us to cancel the event.
The Queens Baseball Convention will be held again on January 28, 2017 featuring appearances by Tim Teufel and Bobby Valentine.
We will have Panels such as
State of the Mets Hosted by Mark Healey
The Uniform Panel
The Bobby Valentine Panel Hosted by Matt Cerrone (followed by Bobby signing)
The Tim Teufel Panel Hosted by Michael Baron(followed by Tim Sigining)
The Tom Seaver Retrospective Panel Hosted by Greg Prince
More Panels to come.
There will be vendors, mascots, The presentations of the Gil Hodges Award, The Mazzy Awards, and much more.
