Does This Post Prove That These Tweets Suck?

Yes. Yes it does.

- What are you talking about? Of course it did!! One good game negates all the bad games he's had. Just like one bad at bat negates all the good a player has done(Beltran).

Yep it was last night and last night only that proved that!!!

Does your twitter account prove you are a #hack?

Foul Ball Hits a Kid- Mets React

This was a cool thing the Mets did after a young kid took a foul ball off the arm during a Jay Bruce at bat. The Mets got the ball back from the crowd, signed it gave the kid back the ball and also a bat.

I don't have the time to find the video to embed it so here is the link.

Mets: Countdown

You guys nervous? Mets got this in the bag? You guys worried about a repeat of a collapse from 2008? Are you putting in for a day off for the wild card game already?

Big stretch here but I expect the Mets are in the wild card game. My expert analysis is (just insert whatever " hot takes" the sports writers and "blog experts" and twitter experts are writing right now thinking that they are original).

I really can't wait to see October baseball again. I am probably going to watch the Mets play the Phillies down in Philly on Saturday. Who else is going?

I was watching him toss in the outfield the other day with the other pitchers. You heard the leather of the gloves snap when all the other pitchers were letting loose. When Matz tossed the ball it the glove sounded like it caught something I threw... Yep. Didn't see this coming.

MLB Sues Vendors In Wrigleyville

Interesting. Maybe they should start sending some letters to eBay...

From Forbes.com
One currently unknown potential defendant owns and operates the website “Chi Apparel,” which sells shirts bearing many of the Cubs’ known trademarks as well as names of some of the Cubs’ more popular players.

Screen shot of website “Chi Apparel,” which is named as an infringer in the Cubs’ and MLB’s Complaint.

With the Cubs success on and off the field comes a concern that the franchise and MLB will lose out on receiving revenue from merchandise sold. In fact, the Cubs and MLB have filed a lawsuit against known vendors who are selling unlicensed goods.

Okay, we will start with the majestic patch on the front of the jersey with then sizing. It's. it supposed to be stitched on. It's supposed to be a screen printed material. The numbers and letters are the wrong material. They are supposed to be stiff and not made of a fabric. The size of the Mets lettering is too big. The name on the back shouldn't have any of that white material attached to it on the inside of the jersey.

Fraud?: They Myth of Big Papi

Woah.. I know this isn't Mets related. But wow...

From theWeek.com written by Anthony L. Fisher

Ortiz's universal adoration in Boston will withstand the test of time. Expect every dive bar in New England to name a chowder recipe in his honor. Ortiz is more than a player. He is Big Papi.

But here's the thing: Big Papi is a myth.

It's a myth that has endured a career's worth of evidence to the contrary. It's a myth enabled by wide-eyed sportswriters who insist that "the myth of Papi has no dark edges" and that this 40-year-old "Father Christmas" figure — at an age where the skills of all of his baseball contemporaries have long since succumbed to the ravages of time — is having a completely unimpeachable career season at the plate.
The man behind the myth is less appealing. David Ortiz is a thin-skinned, self-promoting narcissist, prone to violent tantrums and playing fast and loose with the truth, possessing a persecution complex that would make Richard Nixon blush.

This is a great read. GREAT!!!!

Ortiz's legacy as a baseball deity in Boston is deserved, and secure. But there's more to his legacy: PED suspicions, non-stop self-aggrandizement, and relentless whining about contracts, official scorers, and the rare beanball.

More Forced Mets Super Hero Names: Part 5

Marketing/twitter/Mets Fans/Media are all getting ridiculous with the obsession of giving Mets Players forced comic book hero names. I decided that I am going to jump in with some myself then...Running out of characters so I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel here folks....

                                                   Asdrubel "Thunder Strike" Cabrera

"Hey Guys, I have an idea. Since Cabrera went blonde, let's start calling him Thunder Strike. It's as cool as Thor. And we can add a long piece of fake hair to his hat and helmet. Think of the promo giveaways!!"

Eric Masterson first appeared in Thor #391, as a supporting character. Thor #408 featured the merging of the character Eric Masterson with Thor, Masterson being utilized as the God of Thunder's alter ego until issue #432.[2] Thor #432 featured the character assuming the role of Thor, and appearing as the title character until Thor #459.[3]
Following Thor #459, Masterson was introduced as "Thunderstrike" in the eponymous series starting in June 1993. The series lasted approximately two years. Thunderstrike ran for 24 issues, the series canceled in September 1995. Creator Tom DeFalco has often claimed that the book outsold Thor and The Avengers combined at the time of its cancellation;[4] although this has been shown to be extremely unlikely.[5] Masterson also appeared in the mini-series Thor Corps as Thunderstrike, and appeared as a guest star in the Thor series.

Jerry "Animal Man" Blevins

Hey hey has blonde hair now and the super heroes wear sunglasses instead of masks now right? I guess it fits...

Movie stunt man Buddy Baker, to whom aliens gave animal-themed powers, debuted in Strange Adventures #180 (cover-dated Sept. 1965), in the story "I Was the Man with Animal Powers" by writer Dave Wood and penciler Carmine Infantino.[2][3] Baker gained a costume and a name, initially A-Man, in Strange Adventures #190 (July 1966).[3][4] He continued as a semi-regular feature in the book, making occasional cover appearances, through #201 (June 1967).
His subsequent appearances were sporadic. In 1980, he guest appearance in Wonder Woman #267-268. His main appearances in the remainder of the decade were as a member of the "Forgotten Heroes", a team of minor DC heroes. It was in that capacity that he appeared in the company-wide crossover storyline Crisis on Infinite Earths.
