Retired Number At Cooperstown

I wonder if the Mets had a hand in where this was put. A part of Mets history hidden unless you really look for it. Sounds like the Mets kind of move doesn't it?

Casey Stengel's retired number from Shea. It is near the research center/book shop off the Hall where the plaques are.

@the7line Reporting Chop Shops Starting to Be Demolished on 126th

Weird seeing nothing across from Citi Field. Chop shops up to 38th avenue now leveled.

Main Stream Media Finally Asks About @mets Ticket Fees

After years of @metspolice and I railing against, making fun of, and inquiring about these fees main stream media finally get on board and notice what fans have been asking about these "convenience fees"

From the NY POST
Funny thing about such forced “convenience fees.” They’re ostensibly charged for fans’ convenience, although they’re never broadly explained, let alone detailed. After all, when did it become an inconvenience to sell us tickets?

Now, if the Mets temporarily have waived those convenience fees, they’re selling the tickets at someone’s inconvenience, right?

And if it’s somehow at fans’ inconvenience, I write on behalf of all of them in telling the Mets that fans gladly will suffer — for the rest of their sports consumer lives — such inconvenience.

Otherwise, those “convenience” charges are pure price-gouging. So from now on, just give fans the option: Would they like to pay convenience charges or prefer to be inconvenienced by no charges?

Read more here

- Okay Mets, care to explain?

Cyclones Jersey(Piazza Induction Ceremony Edition)

The Cyclones always are doing something fun with their promo jerseys. This time it was a throwback jersey to the Piazza Era with a black sublimated replica.

- they even included the glacier "twill" look to the print.

I see why they did the BKLYN there. Trying to get it to look as close to being METS without it being too clunky.

Hall of Fame Logo.

The sleeve patch even combines both the skyline Mets patch and the skyline of Coney Island.

The game used are still on auction for a few more days. You could with do the buy now option or bid on it here.

Crazy BaseBrawl in the Minors

The Rockland Boulders were playing the New Jersey Jackals when one of the players ran from their dugout to the Boulders dugout before the first pitch in the 9th. This is something I have never seen before.  The Boulders pitcher didn't even see what happened.
