Mets Text about City Connect Jerseys

Just got this text from the Mets. Do we think anyone is running out at 11am on Friday to buy the City Connect Jerseys that we haven’t officially seen yet? And weren’t the jerseys supposed to have originally been on field 4/26?

I sold this Butch Huskey Jersey at QBC

You never know what you might find for sale at the Queens Baseball Convention. Museum Quality pieces of history even if the Mets Museum in my opinion isn't museum quality anymore. Congrats to my buddy Jessie on getting this piece and also want to thank him for being one of the guys who try to keep Mets history alive bylending to the museum.

Steve Cohen Responds To Bathrooms Being Closed AT Citi Field

The other day I got a tweet about the Promenade section having 1/2 the bathrooms closed down on Friday night's game. The tweeter also tagged Steve Cohen and Steve responded with, "How many do you use in an evening?" I get wanting to reply like this to folks and I have done it myself in the past but even if Steve  Cohen is thinking what he tweeted, he could have ignored it or said something like, "We'll look into it", even if he didn't. This is one of the reasons I have been saying this stadium is going to end up being outdated in the near future. Might have to start looking at the infrastructure thats in place at the stadium for physical things as well as operationally. Just saying.

What do you guys think?

I felt very meh at Citi Field.

I went to my first Mets game at Citi Field this season and boy was it not a good experience. Over the years the staff had went from cranky and surly to friendly and helpful. The Mets did a great job to change the way their employees have interacted with the fans over the year. I don't know if it is the new management that they have brought in but there were quite a few ushers that were curt and just not helpful.

I was walking with a buddy and we went to just see the sightline of one of the newer areas that was installed last season and the usher says " I need to see your ticket". Not, "Hey guys, can I see your ticket?". " Hey Guys, even to stand over here you need a ticket." But nope. Had to be a jerk about it. A few of the Aramark folks push through with their carts not saying excuse me, or coming through folks. Nope. just pushed folks out of the way.

Now don't get me wrong. There are still a lot of of the good employees working there but when you go to more than enough games, events, concerts, run your own convention, you kind of get the idea of how staff is supposed to be and how the customer service experience can start trending down,

I also went to the relocated smaller Mets Museum and its the first time I had seen it in person. I have literally been to friends houses that have a bigger and better displays of Mets history and memorabilia. I am not making this up. Folks were coming into the museum and saying "That's it?" and there were folks laughing at it.

I walked around looking at the different food options. I don't know if it's just me, but usually every season the newer food vendors would have more of a wow factor. Found the returning Keith's Grill. There were a lot of chopped cheese stands. The Korean Chicken in the Hudson Whiskey Club was pretty good. The Pastrami Stand has been moved on field level(still the best food there).

I wandered the Promenade level and yep saw the bathrooms closed too.

Hopefully this gets better during the season.
