HONORING RUSTY STAUB: Mets Hall of Famer Rusty Staub passed away on Thursday...He would have celebrated his 74th birthday on Sunday...The Mets will wear a patch on the right sleeve on their home and away uniforms during the 2018 season honoring Staub...The patch features his autograph in orange... Staub played for the Mets from 1972-1975 and 1981-1985...He batted .423 in 1973 World Series and slugged three home runs in the 1973 National League Championship Series...In 1975, he became the first Mets player with 100 or more RBI in a season... Staub was in his 19th year as a club ambassador...Staub was well known for his philanthropic endeavors, including establishing the New York Police and Fire Windows' and Children's Benefit Fund.

He was 7-5 with a 4.92 ERA (31 earned runs/56.2 innings) and 60 strikeouts in 46 games in relief with the Mets in 2017.
MATT HARVEY: Tonight is Harvey's 101st career start (102 career game)...Harvey's 589 strikeouts through his first 100 career games as a Met were third-most in Mets history for a pitcher through his first 100 career games...Trailed Dwight Gooden (749) and Jacob deGrom (675)...Harvey is 7-3 with a 3.07 ERA (23 earned runs/67.1 innings) and 71 strikeouts in 11 career starts vs. the Phillies.
